Visiting our daughter or her birthdayPosted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: We stayed in the upper level by the pool and it was very quiet at night. It felt like you were in your own little world.
Cons: The beds were not the greatest and the refridgerator was not cold. Maybe it was just to hold some alcohol and soda?
Very nice hotel, and staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Close proximity to Santa Monica. Our daughter lives in East Hollywood so it was a bit if a trek.

Great hotel near UCLA!Posted Apr 9, 2015
Loved the hotel, staff very courteous & helpful. Room was nice only downfall was the window leaked a bit w/the rain & wallpaper around the windowsill was coming up. Mini bar was reasonably priced.

Going to the GettyPosted Apr 6, 2015
Just an overnight visit before museum hopping. As close to the Getty as one can be. Fun decor making due with an older facility. Considering the proximity to the 405 it was pretty quiet and it appears great efforts have been made to block the freeway noise. Staff was very friendly , especially the bellhops getting the cars. I guess they don't get tipped too often but when they do. Only negative was the latte I ordered was not the best espresso. Zeke

The moment I walked into the hotel, it smelled a little bit like a beach bathroom. My friend also agreed with me. Howeve, the hotel lobby was decorated very nicely and chic. All the staff that I came across was very professional and provided really great service, which I was very happy about. Overall, I expected more from this hotel as it was not cheap to stay here. The hallway to my room smelled similar to a motel room. The room was smaller than I anticipated as the pictures online made it appear more spacious. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were not fluffy and firm. I had to fold the pillow in half. The closet was pretty old and flimsy. The pool, itself, was pretty smal, but the pool area was large.

Decent value for LA, but not worth the savingsPosted Apr 6, 2015
Spend a little more money and get something better. It's pretty rundown, although the rooms are decent. The upper building may as well be a motel, it's so remote from the public space in the lower building

Did not really look like the pictures. Outside of the building was very old. Could have put more accurate photos, hotel was far from dinning areas. Not walking distance to any restaurants or shopping. Hotel looked really old and as if it just had a slight remodel and paint job, like putting lipstick on a pig. Nothing else to comment, staff was ok.
