Basic Motel

Posted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: Staff helpful and friendly
Cons: Light proof curtain/ blinds and drink making facilities.
Location: Pier and beach within walking distance.
Staff helpful and friendly. No facilities either in reception or in rooms for making a drink. Uncomfortable headboards and blinds that let light in. Expensive for what it was.

Affordable in Malibu

Posted Mar 4, 2014
The room is not that big but i was by myself so it was fine. Free wifi and a nice size tv. The bed was not the most comfortable but it wasn't bad. Hard wood floors seemed a little old but it gave it a beach vibe. I only stayed the night but would be a great spot if I was staying longer. Super close to the Malibu Pier beach and maybe a 15 dollar cab ride to Zuma beach. Cheap clean and easy. Probably the cheapest room in Malibu at 169.00 a night.

Close to the beach and the freeway

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Cons: Update the rooms
Location: The ocean
I have stayed at this motel many years ago and I don't think they have upgraded anything in 5 years. Getting extra towels was a pain and they were worn. The rooms are very plain and nothing to look at. If you want to sleep in forget it. Between the noisy neighbors and traffic noise that wasn't going to happen. It was a definite disappointment.

No Air Conditioning in Rooms

Posted Jul 12, 2013
Pros: The rooms are nicely appointed
Cons: The motel should disclose there is no air conditioning in the rooms.
Location: Near the Getty Villa.
I didn't realize when I made the reservation my room would not have a/c. I don't think any of the rooms in this motel have air conditioning. The rooms get hot and stuffy at night. Normally I would have opened a window to let the ocean breeze in, but the Hotel sits across the street from the ocean and is located on a very busy highway. All night long, from sirens to traffic noise the room was bombarded with street noise..It is not a quiet, peaceful location. I would not stay at this motel again.

Noisey Hotel with a view. Next to the main street.

Posted Jun 23, 2013
The bedding was not luxury as stated in the add. yes there is an ocean view, its faces the main street, if you have your windows open, no airconditioning good chance you will, its super noisey in the eve and starts in the early am. VERY CLEAN, minimalist furnishing for the price an inroom coffee maker would be nice. one night stay its ok.

The M (Really)

Posted Apr 2, 2013
Not many places to stay in burned out old Malibu; but the M was available on a Saturday night and now I know why. Just an old overpriced Motel feeding off drive by's. Pluged shower drain, noisy through walls/upstairs, no closet, no coffee maker, no Jacuzzi, no beach access etc. The Owner put Lipstick on a Pig and had the nerve to charge $189 for his cheapest room +12% Tax. Never again.
