Marina del Rey Hotel

We arrived late in the day or actually early in the morning - the staff were amazingly pleasant, nothing was too much for them. The hotel is dated, but clean. The crisp white sheets, blankets and covers were impressive - as requested we were on the ground floor and it was nice to open the door in the morning and walk out onto the walkway and walk the grounds with the beautiful landscaping and look out onto the water! Being on the first floor made everything convenient accessing the Cafe, restaurant and pool area - we had 6 wonderful days and we'll be back again!

The sheets on the bed did not look clean. Also, I left an item in my room and after numerous attempts (including being left on hold for 15mins and having to call back) I have yet to get a reply from anyone to see if the item was turned in to lost & found. I was promised a call back and I am still waiting!

I have stayed at the hotel twice in the last six months. My husband had neck and spine surgeries at the Marina Del Rey Hospital. Each time the staff was very caring and friendly! This meant a lot during a very emotional and stressful time. It was very close to the hospital. The hotel is quiet and has a very nice charm about it. Yes there need to be upgrades and some remodel work. It is clean and I felt very safe!

A good cost effective place to stay in a nice atmosphere off the beaten track, but with good access. They spoke about an upgrade coming soon which is needed.

this hotel is in a sad state of disrepair. it is in a marina and near the ocean so wind is a daily occurrence. The windows are very likely from the 60's, which doesn't matter to me, however the frames are so worn out, that they rattle constantly with the wind. Really come on, I understand it's not overly expensive, but put the bare minimum back into the place to make it just reasonable. 50 year old windows is really not realistic.

Very nice and helpful staff. View of the Marina is amazing and very relaxing. Room was very clean and comfortable. Condition of the hotel was great considering it is an older hotel. The resutrant and bar served very good food and drinks. I would recommend this hotel for a weekend getaway. It is very centeraly located so access to Venice, Santa Monica and Malibu arent far away. We enjoyed our stay and will most likely stay there again in the future.

Reasonably priced hotel in the marina del ray area, which is beautiful. The hotel is a 10min walk from the main road, which is quite a long walk out for food & shopping especially at night. Was given a ground floor room but was disturbed by loud stomping coming from the ceiling early in the morning. Large comfortable room, could easily fit 4 adults. Salsa dancing at the function room for $6 per pax Friday nights. Breakfast was fantastic & you could sit alfresco & admire the boats docked just outside at the marina!

The hotel is definitely dated. However, it was clean despite its age and the service was very good. The staff were attentive and courteous. The location is really what you are paying for as the views from the rooms are beautiful. You get views of the marina right outside your room. The pool was nicely maintained and heated so it was fun for my son to go swimming. The beds were a bit hard for my taste, but the rooms were clean. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge for leftovers, but that is not a big deal. We also ate at the hotel restaurant. The food was very reasonable priced and the drinks were stiff, so I would have to say overall it was a very pleasant experience.

This hotel is very old and dated. I was disappointed at the condition. I discovered from the employees that it will be torn down and rebuilt later this year. Not a bad stay just not as nice as I hoped it would be.

Location was great. The place is in desperate need for an update. Very dated inside with furnishings and wallpaper. Wallpaper in room was peeling in places and there were signs of water damage and spots on the walls. Service was good at check in. Requested extra towels during the stay, and never got them, had to go to front desk myself to get them.
