Ok hotel in downtown Los Angeles

Posted Jul 13, 2014
The shower head came off while in the shower and the water spilled all over the bathroom floor.

Pros: The lobby is very retro, cool if the rest of the place was not a mess.
Cons: The rooms, better beds and AC.
I would not stay here again, I took a risk and was misreable for it! Hotel is not what it looks like from the pictures. Rooms are small and poorly updated, bed is so hard that the floor felt more comfortable and the ac is only on when you arrive in the lobby. The floors, elevators and rooms are sweltering on hot days. My room was at least 90 degrees when I checked in I was sweeting on entering the elevator, only to enter a room that was musty and hot. The AC unit is small and the remote to work it is not labled so you have no idea whether its working right or not. It wasn't until 3-4 am that my room cooled off. Brutal!

Nice Hotel Close to the Train and Staples Centre

Posted Jul 7, 2014
This is a nice boutique hotel that offered a reasonable level of comfort for our short stay in LA. We were walking distance from the train and the Staples Centre. We didn't need to use cabs during our stay because of this which was great. The staff were helpful and a continental breakfast was included. The room was smaller than expected and a little outdated but comfortable and clean. The air conditioner was loud and turned off several times during the night.

Double Charged Me!

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: N/A
Cons: Refund me my money.
Location: N/A
I had a lovely stay at the hotel in April, however, the hotel charged me after I had returned to England. Two months later I am still chasing a refund, staff are being very unhelpful and because of the time difference no one seems to ever be available to help me. They say they will refund but still no payment. I signed no bill on checking out as I had prepaid and I have proof of this. How can you charge my bank card with no authorisation?! Have filed a dispute with my bank, but they cannot reach the hotel either to confirm my story. I am deeply unhappy and down a lot of money which I can't afford because of this. Don't know where else to turn, but after this I would certainly not recommend anyone staying here as you just don't know what will happen.

O Hotel

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: The staff, the location were great and the breakfast was OK.
Cons: New Matresses
Location: Very close to the Staples Center and not too far to drive to main points of interet in LA, Hollywood areas.
The staff were absolutely wonderful. Continental breakfast was limited but very nice. The room doesn't look like the picture, it was very small and cramped. The bed was really uncomfortable. Unfortunately we had a guest above us that decided to be an elephant all night and walk heavily back and forth so we were kept awake a good portion of the night.

Dark and dingy!

Would never recommend this hotel. Terribly dark, dreary and a smell of a 100 year old outhouse.

graduation stay

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: clean, staff, bar, location
Location: we walked around and walked to LA Prime for a graduation dinner other wise we were down near USC doing stuff with relatives.
we stayed for 3 nights while in town for USC graduation. Staff very helpful. Always got us a cab when needed. Food at bar very good. Would suggest you just quote the added $14 a day for bottle of water, USA today newspaper and breakfast.. We didn't get water every day, newspaper isn't worth 14 cents, and breakfast was ok. We would have paid anyway but it seemed deceitful quote a price and then add $14 a day.
