Great location to the LA Convention Center for 1/3 the price of the JW Marriott!

Nice hotel, small, breaking apart room

Posted Dec 18, 2014
I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, and the hotel is generally comfortable. However, the room is very small, especially the restroom. There is no door to the closet, just a shelf with hangers. Some corners of furniture are broken too. Overall, it is an economical choice near downtown LA, but not as fancy as the pictures seem..

Nice hotel. Close to metro.

The room was small but comfortable. Very clean and the staff was friendly. The hallway was dimly lit and so was the room. Great water pressure. The room's smoke alarm went off twice early in am. Staff took off service charge for the inconvenience. Great location, gave easy access to metro which is great so you don't need to rent a car.

Hidden Cost

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Charged an extra $14 a day to Visa card after I left for room services like, bottled water, wi-fi, breakfast and the like when they told me it was all for free.. When I range the hotel to complain they said it was on the check in form that I signed but they didn't not point it out to me or mentioned it when I checked in. There dishonesty in this instance makes me not to ever recommend this hotel nor will I stay there again..

Affordable downtown LA hotel with nice rooms

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: King room facing Flower street was really nice. Air conditioning units were actually quiet and worked well. Location was convenient.
Cons: Decor is really dark and kind of depressing in lobby and halls. But I'm not a big Goth or Modern Art fan. Smell in halls could be better.
Location: Macy's is being totally face-lifted with a bunch of new shops beside. GAP is coming also. Area is being renovated and rejuvenated. Lots of restaurants
The hotel's entry and halls are a bit dark due to a modern-themed decor, but the rooms are layed out well and clean. The bedding is great, similar to the new plush in Hampton Inns, etc. Within blocks are Macy's, a small but well-stocked shopping mall (H&M, Zara, Target, CPK, Gold's Gym, Victoria's Secret and full food court), Starbucks, Ralph's grocery store and plenty of places to eat. Easy access to 110 and 10 freeways. Just a few blocks north of Clippers center and a couple of miles north of Univ. Southern Calif. Continental breakfast served from 6:30-10 am is free and decent quality. Service staff were great. First night someone decided to ballroom/grunge dance for hours, so staff moved me to a nicer, quiet room with King bed facing Flower St. If you've got the money to pay the upcharge, this room was the nicest. The only downside is that parking is $18.00 per day, which is cheaper than the Radisson across from USC and at least it is next door, though it's a separate ticket and pay process. The hotel also charges a $14 service fee for in-room water bottles, printing out boarding passes, etc. This was kind of goofy in that they didn't tell you ahead of time, but it's not per day. Just one-time. So the overall rate is still much better than anything decent within a 6-mile radius. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Downtown is really very safe, especially during daylight. Free entry in Gold's Gym at shopping center w/ room card. That worked fine also.

Nice Hotel close to the Nokia Theatre

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Looked swankier than I had thought it would, which was kinda cool
Cons: Unless I was too late and missed it, fruit offered at the continental breakfast would be nice.
Location: Only in town for a show at Nokia Theatre, didn't do any other things near by.
If I'm ever going to anything at the Nokia Theatre in the future, I'd definitely stay at this hotel again. It was within walking distance of the venue, and not a bad part of town. Also close to lots of food options.

Small hotel, good location

Posted Nov 2, 2014
Pros: Good location and well maintained. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was poor. Rooms were quite bare.
Small hotel, good location, small rooms, sparsely decorated, pitiful breakfast buffet, parking at lot next door isn't too ridiculous. Free wifi.
