Perfect locationPosted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: Location, price, staff, decoration, room size
Cons: i had a queen size bed which i didn't like and the noise from the restaurant bar downstairs.
Location: bar and restaurant close by and everything you would need is a walking distance from palihouse.
The hotel is in perfect location in Los Angeles, nice and big rooms.

West Hollywood hotel in great location!Posted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, great rooms with everything you need.
Location: only minutes from Sunset and all of the nightlife and restaurants.
West Hollywood hotel in great location! Safe, clean, we had a very large room. Will definitely plan to stay here again. There was some fun nightlife in the lobby at night with good music and drinks and a fun crowd. Walking distance to several eateries. Parking was underground and very simple. We had a corner room with tons of light and a cool view of the neighborhood.
Close to great area - MelrosePosted Sep 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall the hotel was very nice.. Cool interior!! When we arrived we received a room that hadn't been cleaned, but when informed the staff quickly upgraded us to a better room.. So I think that was a nice way of handling that.. Otherwise friendly staff and great location.

Is it a hotel or is it a night clubPosted Sep 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Friday nights seem to be club night at the Palihouse. Only problem is, the hotel is no built for it, sound travels and there is little security between guests and revellers. To add to the sudden change of personality the staff seem to forget who the paying customers are. Overall I would stay during the week, and come along for the evening at weekends. Or maybe just find a hotels that knows what it wants to be.

Incredible hotel... Perfect stayPosted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: location/ rooms / rain shower/ staff
Location: swimming, gym, shopping, coffee shops, night life
I travel monthly around the world on business (usually 5*), and I have very high standards when it comes to my living arrangements in a foreign place. I have to say PALIHOUSE, -though it's not a 5* hotel-, ticks all the right boxes for an LA visit- it is in the perfect location, has a great welcoming environment, very comfortable lounge areas, high-end dining options, the rooms are huge and so cosy. You have everything you need, mini kitchen, washer/dryer, comfy bed AND the rain-shower in the bathroom makes it all the more comfortable. The staff in the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful... Sean at the front desk is the best - always on hand to help with anything at all... and went the extra mile making my difficult requests happen! I really enjoyed my stay and can't recommend this hotel enough. Regarding other reviews on noise issues etc. I was worried before i arrived after reading those reviews, but had not one similar experience, with noise levels low, the hotel is peaceful, quiet and yet you have the option to go down to the bar area if that's what you feel like and hang out with some of the coolest LA crowd in town ! Highly recommend.

Beautiful boutique hotel!Posted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: The location, the staff and the room decor.
We stayed here for 4 nights and loved it! The location is great, within walking distance to both Santa Monica Blvd and Sunset Strip. There were also Metro bus routes very close to take you to places like Santa Monica etc. Our room was large and comfortable, the bed was great and it was nice to have a lounge area separate from the bedroom. We used the in room laundry facities which were very easy. The bathroom was great, with a nice large shower and great water pressure. The only thing I would point out about the room is that the couch was pretty ripped up and needed to be replaced (we were in room 401) - I'm not sure if it was the same in other rooms. There is a great restaurant / cafe downstairs that can get very busy at night and in the weekends (sometimes you might hear it in your room , but only faintly). The food is delicious and a reasonable price. I cannot say enough about the staff - nothing was too much trouble! We would definitely stay at the Palihouse Holloway again!

hotel not recommendedPosted Aug 22, 2013
Very loud at night and the rooms are not always cleaned properly, they do not provide shampoo and conditioner everyday. Some of the staff at the reception desk are not pleasant at all.

Great accommodations in WeHoPosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Location, decor, great staff.
Cons: A few areas of the room could have used a good dusting (loft spaces are hard to maintain!), a little stingy with the towels but no big deal
Location: Corner of Santa Monica Blvd and La Ceniega, hoppin heart of West Hollywood, lots of entertainment and dining options especially for the gay community.
When looking for a place for 4 adults to stay together in Los Angeles, the Palihouse Holloway offered the best combination of location, space and price - and we were delighted with the choice. The representation of the hotel offered by Internet photos accurately depicted what we found on arrival - it's an older building that has been renovated, redecorated and generally updated to meet the discerning tastes of a high-end clientele. Definitely a boutique property in terms of the size and service - although our room was not ready when we arrived, we were pleased to receive an upgrade that more than offset the minor inconvenience. In larger chain hotels one might get an occasional upgrade, but it was unexpected and much appreciated, and was offered without our asking - the staff seemed to just want to make our trip easy and special, and the enormous 2 bedroom loft space we ended up in was fantastic. The furnishings are modern and tasteful, the mini-kitchen was perfect for our needs, the baths luxurious (altho we did need to request additional towels, they were delivered immediately). Parking is extra (normal in LA and other large cities where space is at a premium), the location was convenient for accessing many parts of central Los Angeles, and we'll definitely stay there again. Highly recommend and enjoy your stay at Palihouse Holloway!
