Desperately in need of upkeep
Posted Jan 23, 2013
The best thing about our room was the view. The bed was badly sagging on one side, the curtains were tattered, the plastic vent housing to the outside was falling out of the wall, and the cramped bathroom looked like it would be more appropriate in a hospital than a hotel. We brought our laptop and Playstation to hook into the TV and discovered that all the input ports had been disabled. The staff, however, are quite friendly and willing to please.

ok but not really a family hotel
Posted Jan 16, 2013
We stayed with our kids and probably wouldnt reccomend as a family hotel. The service was great especially compared to the horrible service we had at the resort we stayed in the night before. This is an older building and very okd rooms but was clean and we got a free upgrade when we asked about larger beds. If we eere single or just my hubby and I would probably stay again.

very disappointing
Posted Jan 24, 2013
hotel is tired, all common areas are dated, rooms are old and dismal, lack art on walls, no a/c, windows don't slide properly, etc. parking lots was noisy, tv had minimal options. i reallty don't need to go on and on, just pay a visit. i only ended up here because, crimson hotel, wave hotel, shade hotel, hermosa inn, quality suites, comfort inn, holiday inn, sheratons, westins, marriotts, were all sold out. the property has potentail to be a new modern vibrant value hotel, leveraging the proximity of the beach, spa potential in the bldg in the parking lot, etc. but capital is needed to manage the property, freshen the property or it will fail. too many favorable options surrounding the hotel at lower rates and highe experience. Sorry, but i thought you should know

This hotel needs updating
Posted Jan 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
I grew up a block away from the hotel and my Dad still lives at that same location. Back in the day, it was the Plush horse Inn and it looked like a very nice hotel. When the Washington Redskins came to town, they used to stay there and I would see them out and about. In the 80's, it was refurbished and renamed to the Palos Verdes Inn (keeping the horse as part of the logo), and it hosted a very fine French restaurant. Based on our stay, that is the last time it was ever refurbished. The hotel rooms are antiquated and very small... Bathroom even smaller. Could use some painting, new carpets, new furniture, etc. Elevators were had expletives etched on the doors. Outstanding location near the beach and nice eating establishments and shopping. The hotel is poor shape and could do with a complete renovation.

Excellent Hotel at a Very Ressonable Price
Posted Jan 14, 2012 on Hotels.com
It was great. The Hotel staff was nothing but nice and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The rate was very reasonable. It is an old hotel, so some of the features in the room are old school, but it gave it character rather than take away from it. It is in a very nice neighborhood and within walking distance from a couple restaurants and services. It was a pleasant stay.

Service was good. The rooms are old and a bit shabby. Good value if you want to stay in a good area, however.

Don't do it!

Pros: location was the only good thing
Cons: dirty room
Location: good next to beach
The location of the hotel is nice, easy walk to beach. The lobby was fine but the room was disgusting. I can't believe that these rooms are allowed to be used on Expedia. I have attahched several photos of the dirty room and how gross it was.
