Terrific Hotel in an Unbeatable LocationPosted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and attitude were both great. Parking was easy and plentiful. The swimming pool is a wonder for kids.
Cons: I was thirsty in the middle of the night but there isn't a vending machine. However, 7-Eleven is the next building over, so not terribly far.
Location: The Grove; Farmers Market; Whole Foods; Pan Pacific Park; LACMA and the La Brea Tar Pits!
Myrna at the front desk was so welcoming and warm, we knew from the beginning it was going to be a good stay. My family was given room 109, which opens up on the pool. Can you imagine how happy the kids were? I could be on the bed on the phone with the airline with both eyes on the children splashing with glee. For meals, Fiddlers Bisto is steps away with yummy dishes all day long. The Grove shopping center is aboout a 7-minute walk away and - my favorite - Farmers Market - is just a short stroll beyond that. We had the negative experience of another hotel before this, on Wilshire. The difference between them was night and day. I recommend the Park Plaza Lodge Hotel Inn Suites Motel with the crazy long name!

Great location, basic Holiday Inn like hotel.Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Easy check in/out. Helpful, easy going staff. Very old building, but very well maintained. For it's FANTASTIC location for LA, a very fair price.
Cons: Nothing really. Mr. Kim, the owner, has done the best he can with this 1930's building. Looking for just a place to stay, absolutely adequate.
Location: Obviously, the Grove. Great location for Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Farmer's Market, Canter's, even Universal just up the Hollywood Freeway.
Only two blocks from The Grove. Two story, no elevator. Covered parking in back. GREAT LOCATION!! Ten minute drive in any direction to the various freeways. Small pool but adequate for a morning/evening swim. Small café in the hotel with a larger one right next door. EXCELLENT AC units. Will turn the room into an ice box. Small refrigerators, flat screen TVs with large channel selection. Ralph's, Whole Foods and K-Marts just down the road.

Incompetent and unfriendly.Posted Aug 16, 2014
This place lost our paid reservation, so they put us in the last room they had. The room did not meet the bed requirement that we paid for. "At least you got a room," is what we were told. There were lots of small ants in the bathroom and there were large black hairs in the sink and shower. Never again.

Close to the Grove & Farmers MarketPosted Aug 6, 2014
Cheap, clean & comfortable, I wanted something walking distance from the Grove that wasn't too expensive & this was great! Only down side is that I stayed in a room upstairs with no lift or assistance with my very large suitcase but the staff were really friendly & the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

Decent hotel near The GrovePosted Aug 4, 2014
Cons: The outside of the building needs renovation. The staff could be more professional and more personable.
Location: Near The Grove shopping complex. (aprx. 2 blocks)
Hotel lobby areas are nice. Outside of hotel is rundown. Room was small but comfortably furnished.

Ok for quick overnight stay.Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Free parking and close to good shopping/grocery/food choices.
Cons: Alter curtains so that when you close them you can still use the a/c. The curtains hang right in front of the a/c unit when closed thus blocking the
The best thing about this hotel is the location. Just a few blocks from The Grove/Farmer's Market, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. My main reason for choosing this hotel was that it included parking. The room itself could use some work. While it was clean, the small table in the room had a table cloth with holes in it. The carpet was dated and felt like it was laid over a concrete slab, no padding used. The tiny in room refrigerator wasn't plugged in so I had to wait for it to get cold after I plugged it in.

convenient location for the pricePosted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location!!!
Cons: Make the room brighter and more inviting with better appliances and decorations. Need to invest in a standard size ironing board and have a microwave
Location: The Grove and Farmer's Market are nearby. There is a Ross, Kmart, WholeFoods and CVS all within walking distance. You can catch the Hop on/Hop Bus
Hotel was basic when compared to LaQuinta, Comfort Inn, Best Western, etc. The location to The Grove and Farmer's Market more than made up for the basic anemnities.
