Unequivocally horrible

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: The exterior was well presented (deceptive).
Cons: Would recommend demolition.
Location: The area was quite civilized with a selection of upmarket restaurants and boutique style shops.
My room was dirty, smelly and run down. The TV did not work properly, paint was pealing off the wood work, the shower did not drain - nasty gray water rose in the tray as you showered. Only one faucet on the sink worked. There was black mold in all corners of the bathroom. The bathroom door had a fist sized hole punched in it. The bed was damp. The chamber maid did not appear to clean or tidy in all three days of my stay. A resident dog whined and howled late into every night. You could clearly hear conversations in the adjoining rooms. Bed and bathroom linen was clearly ancient.

There was a barking dog in the room next to me -- at well after midnight. Cleanliness and choice of products could be improved. (In fact, the plastic trash-can liners were bags from local stores, whose names and logos could clearly be read.)

Old and dingy but good location. Has parking if you have a car. That's about it.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything. Literally everything.
My cousin and I booked a room here for NYE and it was horrible. There was nothing comfortable about the facility. The room numbers were written with sharpie on the doors. The bed sheets didn't even match the pillowcases and looked disgusting. The floors were filthy and there was dried liquid on the walls. The bathroom was terrible; the shower looked like it contained every single type of mold possible and the inside of the bathroom cabinet was completely covered in dirt. Also, there was a hand written sign asking you to not flush anything down the toilet... including toilet paper. This room was so incredibly small and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in centuries. Oh, and the door going into the bathroom had a hole in it like someone had hit it. We walked in, returned the key and booked a room elsewhere because we couldn't fathom staying in such a dirty place. The fact that the hotel doesn't give refunds is a way great way for them to make money. Whether or not their guests are smart enough to find other accommodations doesn't effect their profit. Absolutely terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save yourself the trouble and pay the extra money to stay in a room where you the walls are clean and the bed sheets aren't stained.

unbelievable awful

Posted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The owner needs to get a sense of decency and pride of ownership. If that doesn't work, then tear it down.
This place should be closed down. The place is old, that's okay. It's not fancy and that's okay too. But putrid smell, filth in the bathroom, the water in the sink empties into a bucket under the sink and only a few squares of toilet paper on the roll without a replacement in the room makes it unbelievable for any price. Asked for my money back but was refused. It was late and near where I needed to be in the morning. So I stayed but didn't sleep. The only good thing in the room was that the heater worked. It was a cold night so I couldn't stay in my car. STAY AWAY!!!!

Cheap place for poor people.

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: cheap
Cons: It could have a more comfortable bed. The shower head was awful, but that's not that big of a deal .
Location: nothing nearby that I found.
This was the cheapest motel in Santa Monica, and it shows. If you don't care about amenities, this place is a fine way to save money. It is basically just a room with towels and a blanket though.
