Older hotel good for families

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: Staff was very hard working.
Cons: replace the carpets or what ever smells old in the room
Location: Nothing to do around this area.
I was in room 110 at the end and it was quiet. Smells like an old hotel but not unpleasant. For the rate it was a good value. There are restaurants within walking distance. Not a bad area just not a tourist area. Not that close to the airport in LB.

Old but clean and a hard working front desk staff

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Quiet and friendly but I was at the end in room 101
Cons: New carpet? Help for the front desk when it gets busy and not working their staff 15 hours or more.
Location: I do not know I stayed one night. There is a pool and a lot of kids were playing in it.
One night stay in room 110. I complained about the TV volume and they came and fixed it immediately. It has a good working ac as this is July. The beds have like memory foam or a feather bed over a solid core matteress so it will be a bit firm but soft on top. It smelled like an older hotel but not bad. The food at the free breakfast was cereal, toast, bagels, waffles, preformed eggs, and sausage oh yeah and packages of oatmeal. Oranges and apples were the fruit of choice. So not bad for free. I would get there before 0800. The young man at the front desk was there alone when I came in at 430 pm and was friendly and was still there this morning at 0730 am when I went for breakfast and was still friendly and smiling. Wow....

Hotel was good for price. Room was clean and hotel was quiet. The hotel included breakfast. It was near Long Beach state and close to Port and Harbor.

It was an okay stay. The breakfast in the morning was not well stocked and did not have much option. The lady came to fill but filled one juice and no food.

well satisfied of our stay.

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: helpful staff and convenient to the area where we need to visit.
Cons: replacement of front and bathroom doors
Location: close to be where you want to be
one night only, we were well please about our stay. newly renovated room. yes the front and bathroom door needs replacement but its the least of our concern. we love the new carpet, comfy clean bed, newly painted with crown moldings, new refrigerator, microwave a little bit old but clean. it served the purpose of our stay. close to where we need to be.

Nice hotel before Cruise

Posted May 23, 2015
The staff from the front desk to housekeeping were great. The hotel is remodeling and the owner is onsite working everyday. It's nice to see people caring about their property.

Bedding comfortable and clean. Other than that, it was a disappointing experience.

Waffles were nice in the morning

Posted May 8, 2015
Nothing exciting, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I see that they are remodeling but I think they can throw out old furniture etc and not have cans of paint lying around. Would look a lot nicer if the place was cleaned. The breakfast was good and the waffle was tasty.

Good for the Price

Very good for the price. We were in a remodeled room, which was comfortable. However, due to the remodeling, it was sometimes difficult to find parking. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.

OMG

Posted Apr 21, 2015 on Hotels
Old Furniture was piled in parking area, under stairwells, old toilet stored in flower bed along with bags of concrete. All completely visible to other guests. Not enough parking due to construction supplies in spaces. Hallway floors in horrible condition, they needed to be pressure washed badly. I arrived late, so had to check-in behind the building. I was afraid to leave my credit card info with night attendant, because everything felt and looked sketchy. He would lift the blinds to speak with me, and then close them and disappear, and lift then again to speak.... Weird. I also found reciepts in my room from a prior guest. Two good things...Room decor was nice & Bed was comfortable.
