Decent choice in downtown LA

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Cheap price, convenient location, spaceful room.
Location: A lot of korean restaurants nearby. A pizza store on the other side of the road. Not very convenient for eating.
It's a great experience for me to stay in Ramada in Korean Town. The location is pretty close to a purple line station. And it's only 0.5hr distance by metro to Hollywood. The community is Korean Town, and nearby is okay from the perspective of safety. The room is very spaceful, way beyond my expection.

Needs serious updating

Location related to Hollywood tourist attractions was ok, but hotel is in the middle of Koreatown, so very little English businesses or signs.

Great hotel, great location

The hotel was really great for the money. We'd never been to LA before and were worried about price but this place was affordable and had a great location. Staff was friendly, room was clean

Reasonable for the price

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: It's location was ideal for our needs. It was clean. Neighbourhood seemed safe (although we didn't wander on foot).
Cons: It met our needs. They could include breakfast. We had to request extra towels as there were only 2 in the room.
Location: The hotel is near Universal Studios. Most of the activities we planned were near by, including a museum (Brea tar pits) and many restaurants.
My family of 4 stayed 3 nights in a room with 2 double beds. The room was clean. The service was good. The location was perfect for our needs. Parking is free and there is plenty of it. We had no issues. It isn't a luxury hotel but we only needed the room to access local attractions so we didn't stay in the room much. We selected this hotel because it was near Universal Studios.

At a very convenient location.

Although it is an older hotel, it is kept in a decent condition. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel so it is handy at odd times.

Nice hotel and close to the things we wanted to do

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: It was clean and tidy
Cons: It needs to have a microwave in the room
Location: It was close to golf practicing facilities
It is a nice hotel to stay at and not to far from Down Town LA

June 21-24 Hotel Stay

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: The rooms were clean and roomy. The staff gave us an upgrade to a "Smoking" room since a non-smoking was not available, not a problem though.
Cons: Not sure this can be corrected easily, but the room windows were "thin" so we heard a lot of outside noise (e.g. drag racing).
Location: Good selection of Oriental restaurants (it is in Koreatown); not far from the LA Art Museum and LaBrea Tar pits, etc.
The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and it was in a good location. Good restaurants within walking distance. It was also only two blocks from the Metro Purple line which wisked us to Universal City with minimal problems (lot better than driving).

okay hotel close to whilshire and western

Posted Jun 24, 2014
I expected more of this hotel because it was Ramada. The only thing I liked about this hotel was the location of it. It is a 5 min walk from Western and Wilshire, close to the metro and right in the middle of Koreatown. The front staffs were unfriendly and unwelcoming. They always seemed mad and were smoking/ranting in the hotel parking lot. However, the housekeeping ladies were very nice and did their job excellently. The room itself is nice and spacious, but the hair dryer almost caught on fire when I tried to use it. Overall, the experience was just meh.
