Love this placePosted Oct 21, 2013
We stayed at this hotel while visiting Queen Mary's Dark Harbor. We were able to walk to and from QM, it was great! very scenic and only a 10-15 minute stroll along the water. The staff was so friendly and the rooms were amazing with a great view of the ocean. I will definitely stay again for a weekend getaway!

My Stay At The MarriottPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Everything... The only thing wrong was one person's service
Cons: Make sure everyone is treated the same by all staff. Also a better choice of movie on television. Might consider a third party vendor service.
Location: Easy access to everything..
The hotel was a very nice facility. The breakfast is awesome. My wife and I really like the convenience of taking the bus to the convention center. The only problem we had was a supervisor who wasn't very good at customer service. We had to report one of the Managers. I guest she spoke to the supervisor I don't know, but she had a bad attitude.

Hotel was close distance from the Long Beach PikePosted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: The shower stall was roomy the overall cleanliness of the room
Cons: The alarm clock numbers were not illuminating so you couldn't see the numbers unless you turned the lights on.
Location: The Pike is nearby and there are plenty of places to eat at.
We checked in late disappointed that they have a $15 parking charge per night. Some of the coffee mugs were dirty they had a ring inside and they had a note apologizing for the condition of the desk chair which I can't understand why have a chair in bad condition in the room? Seriously, they can't just replace it?

Nice hotel but with downsidesPosted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: Staff was very friendly. Also liked the restaurant recommendations given - we got in late each night and ended up getting take-out delivery.
Cons: Better signage to get to the Residence Inn.
Location: Queen Mary VERY close. Across the bridge from restaurants, shopping center. 2 hrs from San Diego, half hour from Santa Monica.
Hotel itself was great. Clean, friendly, one of the best continental breakfasts I've had. We had a large room with a full kitchen and luxurious bath. Only complaint was the view and the road to get there. There was construction getting to the hotel and there were very few signs; we had to drive around a couple times to actually get to the correct road leading to the hotel. That and the view was not of the beach but of the port of Long Beach where they load containers for export.

Great HotelPosted Sep 16, 2013
Location: It's right by the Queen Mary. Not too many restaurants in walking distance. I was visiting friends near LB State and had to take the 710/405, but it w
The room was huge. Everything perfectly clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Complementary breakfast. I had a room on the water side. It was quiet, with windows that opened. It was great to wake and see pelicans and gulls flying over the water. I'd definitely stay there again.

nice place to stayPosted Sep 8, 2013
Location: Easy access to boat landing at the back of the hotel. No swimming only fishing access.
My first time to visit the place. Its very convinient to go around with the free shuttle service to restaurants at Shoreline, Convention Ctr, Queen Mary and other areas in Downtown. The hotel's full breakfast is good. Nice place to stay with the ocean view.

What a great hotel!Posted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: location, condition of hotel, staff...everything
Location: Queen Mary, USS IOWA, beaches
This hotel was truly a wonderful hotel. Just 1/2 mile from the Queen Mary and close to other attractions such as the USS IOWA. Long Beach is great to hang out for a while and this hotel s a great spot. Rooms were spotless with a kitchen and plenty of space. My only disapointment was I couldn't stay longer. I travel a lot and stay at many hotels. Marriott is not my general choice as I have had many poor experiences with them, but this one was fantastic.

Hidden FeesPosted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were surprised that we were charged a $15.00 fee per day to park our car in the hotel parking lot. There was no indication on our reservation that we would be charged.I questioned the staff at the desk on the day we arrived and was told that it WAS on the reservation email confirmation. I was told that "if you have a copy of it we will take it off". Well, I did have a copy and there was nothing on it to indicate a fee to park. Upon leaving this fee was waived, but I feel certain that my word was no good, and having to prove this fact was insulting. I think the shake down for parking was poor policy. The staff also allowed other guests to play loud rap music at the pool side making it uncomfortable for us, when asked about it, I was told by the engineer that "I will see if they will turn in down". The music was competing with the pool side music pumped in making it impossible to relax. We will not stay again.
