“Don't judge this "book" by its cover”

The common areas had me bracing for a disappointing experience but when I opened the door to our room I was absolutely delighted!! The room was completely renovated from top to bottom with high quality furniture, linens, granite surfaces and carpets. Although more like a European hotel room in size it was very comfortable and well laid out. Friendly helpful staff.

Great location. Free parking a real plus when visiting UCLA. Spacious room. Front desk very friendly even though we checked in late at night.

Quiet area and easy to access. Outside is old, but inside the room all the amenities one could want exist.

Clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were traveling with a service dog and they are the first place we've ever stayed that didn't give us the stink eye when we showed up with him. I would stay here again if we ever have to go back to UCLA. Everything was perfect!

“Hidden gem”

The Royal Palace Westwood looks rather modest from the outside, and the small foyer with the front desk is rather dated. However, our room exceeded all of our expectations. It was about twice the size we were expecting, with a dinette-for-four, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a wet bar in addition to the 2 queen beds we requested. The decor was crisp and modern. The most pleasant surprise was that our bathtub had jets! What a nice way to end a day that began at 6:30am EDT, included a cross-country flight, and wrapped up around 2am PDT. Bottom-line: great location, great amenities, great value -- truly a hidden gem!

“Great Hotel”

Don't judge a book by its cover.....I wasn't all that impressed with the outside appearance of the hotel or even the murals on the wall, boy was I in for a SURPRISE.....The room was fantastic, the location was PERFECT...I was visiting my nephrew at UCLA, the cleaning staff were on top of it....I would definitely stay again & would highly recommend this hotel to others.....Enjoy :-)

“comfortable and cozy”

Kingsized bed is really comfortable. Room had refrigerator and microwave which is a plus. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of Medical Plaza. Would use Royal Palace Westwood again.

“Softest bed ever!”

The hotel's lobby was quite small and didn't seem like much, but once I got into my room everything is very nice! Dark wood furniture and a huge TV. I got the King Bed room, it was on the small side but the bedroom was very cozy. Bathroom was a bit cramped but did the job.
