Pros: Clean and spacious
Cons: Air conditioning could be provided
We had chosen this hotel based on proximity to the beach and we were not disappointed. A short walk to the beach. Room was pretty spacious and check-in/check-out procedures were a breeze. The only downside was the fact that there was no air conditioning in the room we were allotted. So, the room got a little stuffy at night.

Very clean pleasant room.

Pros: Cleanliness of room and price.
Cons: Air conditioning rather than just a ceiling fan as it was hot on return to room in evening.
Location: Ideal cycling distance down to the beach and an ok area,
Price reflects distance from beach but very happy with choice.

Pros: It was the least expensive hotel that I could find. Others were quite a bit more expensive--in the order of at least twice as expensive as the hotel.
Cons: Get a phone and a microwave. And, fix parking. So many people cannot park for beans, so would take up more than one space. Ticket those people.
Location: Not much to talk about. Not much to tell, but everything that Santa Monica has to offer is not far by auto.
It had no telephone, no ice, no microwave (but it did have a mini fridge), and nothing on which to put a suitcase. Minimal furnishings, but comfy enough. Nice flat-screen TV. On the last day, the woman who checked me out copied my boarding pass for no charge even though business was always done w/ the person on the outside speaking through the window to the person in charge of the desk. I was pleasantly surprised by that. There were codes for the user ID and password for the internet. Internet was free, which was nice, but the codes kept changing, so I would have to walk over to the person at the window to get new codes. Remember, no phone? Sure, I guess I could have called using my cell, but I didn't have their phone number handy.

Don't stay in this hot motel w/no air conditioner!

Posted Jun 18, 2014
This hotel has no air conditioner for hot southern California. It is outrageous to pay $190/night for a room with no air conditioner and it's hot in the room with a ceiling fan that turns off when you turn off the lights! Also not even a glass for water. All for $190/night with no view of anything interesting. Never stay in this dump again!

Disappointing for the price

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Although the motel was clean, the room had recently been repainted it was quite basic. It did suit location wise (being on Lincoln Blvd). For the price I would have expected a glass / mug / paper cup and a bottle of water. The TV was wall mounted quite high up - there was no remote which made it difficult watching and changing channels lying on the bed. I probably would not stay again.

Good Location, So-so Facility

The place is small all around (parking lot, room, beds, etc.) The staff wasn't very inviting/welcoming. But it's close to the beach and you get free wi-fi/free parking. As long as you're not planning on spending a ton of time in your room and are just using it as a base camp for other activities, it's a fine place. There were no cups in the room, you may want to pack a water bottle.

Young male speaking the truth

Posted Jun 15, 2014
This is a motel so obviously if you are expecting some high quality service your in the wrong place. It's close to Santa Monica beach about a 5-10 minute drive with traffic. The place is okay, I hate that it had no a/c. But it was okay. They didn't have an iron in the room and room service comes really late. If your young trying to save money and are visiting it's worth it. Room is clean, tv had a lt of channels but the volume would only work on some channels.
