Location is a 5!!

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Location!! Free parking, continental breakfast, location!!
Cons: need new sheets!
Location: Great location on the Long Beach marina near the beach. Lots of stuff nearby and great restaurants across the street.
they need to buy crispy new sheets. could use a makeover but probably on the list for redevelopment. really great location. Old hotel. Great for the budget conscious traveler.

Don't be fooled by the pics.

Very old hotel for the price. Tiny bathrooms, dated and damaged furniture and cabinets. Scary people walking through the parking lot at night making it feel very unsafe. One ice machine in the entire facility and it's broken.

Pros: location
Cons: replace carpets, windows, update bathrooms, add seating inside the rooms, make guest feel more welcome
Location: stores and restaurants in walking distance (within a 1 mile walking radius)
Hotel has nice location and is walking distance (less than 1 mi) from nice restaurants and is connected to the LB public transport. However, the exterior and interior of the Hotel is more than dated. It seems the Hotel owner takes advantage of the proximity to down town Long Beach but otherwise is not interested to put any effort into making the stay for guests pleasant. In a two bed room there was one coffee table and one arm chair. No other sitting possibility. The terrace had three chairs but since the screen door was very hard to open (in fact, it wouldn't stay on track and always fall over) and close we did not even go outside. The screen door we did not want to leave open because the room was on the ground floor and rodents could have easily gotten through the fence of the terrace. The room we stayed at smelled like its been smoked frequently despite being a non-smoking room. The room had a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker and a brand new flat screen TV. We stayed in the room for the Long Beach Marathon and would not do it again..

It was the only hotel I could get a room at.

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Nothing, I had to get a room and this was the only place available.
Cons: A complete renovation is in order.
Location: Didn't feel like going out.
It was the only hotel I could get a room at. The carpet was all dirty, screws on the door were coming out lose, very small bathroom. Would not stay here again.

Pretty Grim....

The hotel just seems kind of "seedy." The rooms are very basic and don't feel very inviting. No screens on the windows.

Old but close to the beach

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Close to the beach
The facility in under renovation. The rooms advertised are the old ones. I asked for a hair dryer and checked out without getting one

served the purpose but not worth the price.

The hotel is shabby, the doors to the rooms are drafty & trashed. The bathroom is microscopic & the interior is VERY basic. The beds are actually fairly comfortable & the staff was nice.
