PriceyPosted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: A short walk or shuttle to City Walk and the theme park is great. The breakfast buffet is very expensive but it sure is good.
Cons: Wifi should be free as it is everywhere else. We would definitely have had the breakfast buffet several times instead of once if it was reasonably pri
Location: Warner Brothers studio tour is close by as well as Hollywood Boulevard. Have breakfast at Good Neighbours Restaurant. 5 minutes away and very good.
Nice place but no free wifi? Ten bucks extra per day if you want it! Between $250. and $300. for the room plus $24.00 per night for parking. A bar fridge in the room would have been nice, also pay-per-view. Our biggest issue though, and we complained about this on the way out, was that we had to see Honey Boo Boo and her family taking pictures at the fountain out front. Gross!

Fine if you are willing to pay for location alonePosted Feb 23, 2015
Check-in was very efficient and staff was wonderful. Also proximity to Universal Studios is great! Nice walk to park for most families. Unfortunately the first impression of the room was quite disappointing. Nearest stairwell from front desk to our floor was dark and caused us to question if we were even going the right way. We needed to wash our hands as soon as we arrived in the room and were surprised that water would not turn off. Found we had to turn the base of the faucet counterclockwise at the same time we turned the handle. Broken basket hanging from shower wall and also difficult to turn off water again. Although I have to admit I'm accustomed to pillowtops on a firm mattress, I am generally comfortable enough at most large chain hotels. However these mattresses were extremely springy and lacked all cushion. I imagine these mattresses are fine at motels, but nowhere near what I expect at this price point.

Ruined Valentines Day TripPosted Feb 17, 2015
When this was booked through Expedia, the room was described as a Lanai room with balcony and the ability to sleep 4 people. I had booked the room for myself, wife and two children aged 10 and 11. Upon arrival I was told they only had a room with a single king bed, and that because of the third part booking through Expedia they were not responsible for the misrepresentation of the room that was booked. The hotel offered to put in a single roll away bed, however even with this rollaway, sleeping was uncomfortable and crowded for all of my family. All of us had a terrible nights sleep, were overtired, and it affected the rest of out trip the next day. Ruined my surprise Valentines day trip for my family, and nobody has stepped up to make amends.

AmazingPosted Jan 29, 2015
The staff in particular the concierge (I can't remember his name :( ) went over and beyond to meet my needs. - I had a parcel that wasn't delivered on time and he spent ages helping me organise for it to arrive in Australia as cheaply as possible. The maids were amazing- we had a sleep in day and didn't leave the room until around lunch time and this didn't phase her at all, and we still returned to a made up room. Wasn't too far from anything, we paid $30 to get to Warner bros studios and besides that the city walk had everything we needed! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Just 'fine'Posted Jan 24, 2015
I was put in an extremely small room in the - what it felt like was the basement. The walls are scratched and chunks of the wall were missing. A fine hotel for a cheap vacation but not for a really good experience. The maintenance man, Ronaldo, was amazing.
