A Hip Neighborhood that feels safe.

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The Retro feel and the staff.
Cons: A workout room More towels at the pool or in the room.
Location: Breakfast, 24 hours a day just down the road about half a mile. A great place to stop at after dancing all night.
If your gonna stay in Studio City, I think the Sportsman's is a well kept secret by people that are in the entertainment industry. Due to the extended coaches parked in the lot, and all the pool side Hipsters keeping it on the DL... My kids had a blast at the pool, so did I. The DJ was playing all types of songs that kept everyone having a great time. The employees made sure you were welcome and gently reminded people about the rules around the pool. Only thing missing was a gym.

True Celebrity status treatment

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: One of the best things about this hotel is the Staff especially the front desk and the bell hops.
Cons: Room service is not available after 10:00 PM and there are no vending machines for water or soft drinks after hours.
Location: The front desk helps you with excellent recommendations for dinning and sight seeing.
This hotel is a nicely kept secret. Tue old Hollywood glam. The staff are very warm, accomodating, and professional. rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms with access to the pool are the best.

Worst experience at a hotel ever

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Nothing
For $200 a night, we heard footsteps above us all night, people out in the hallways all night, and we had to pay $14 to park a car on top of all of that. We will never stay here again.

Okay choice

Great location and interesting history for the property. Facility is a bit worn. Shuttle bus to universal studios a plus, but shuttle was over crowded and had to stand both ways. Not bad for right price and shotgun stay. I would not want to spend a whole week here.

Nice Stay

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Cons: You should not have to pay for parking on top of the room charges. Also we had 4 in a room and the cleaning staff continually only left two towels eaw
Nice for a short stay, retro décor strange with white dear heads by elevators. Overall clean facilities.
