Seems to be trading on name confusion. The "Court Yard" is NOT "Courtyard by Marriott". More like a down on it's luck Motel 6, but more expensive. Room was cold, carpets were icky. Check-in staff were unfriendly and unhelpful.

Uninsulated rooms with a VERY noisy heater /air conditioner. If you used - impossible to sleep, if you don't the cold and outside noise will get you. Worn linens., old furniture. Overpraised for conditions.

Studio City Courtyard Rating

I like staying at the Studio City Courtyard because of the location. There are several restaurants in the area and a grocery store nearby. Transportation to City Walk and the Universal Park by city bus is easy and convenient.

Think Twice

We arrived at 12am after working a 15 hours day to a small window outside "I compare it to a security window in the bank" Except the gentleman behind the glass could not hear us or understand us. The clerk made it very difficult to check in. I purchased 3 rooms "paid in advanced" for our employees and had the reservation names & numbers with me.He insisted making photo copies of all our drivers licenses, then comparing them to the names on the reservation list like we were criminals. The process took more than 40 min.I'm not sure if we rubbed him the wrong way or if it was something he felt he had to do. Never the less he took his sweet time and made it very well known that he was in charge. Think twice before staying there, the place looks like something you would rent by the hour not the night.I would never recommend this place to anyone.
