i am going to stay in this hotel every time that I visited Los Angeles.

“You get what you pay”

The hotel mantains the Super 8 pattern. The room was very comfortable and clean, but the hallway smelt like cigarrettes. The elevator broke in the first morning for any reason. The other guest scared us a little (they looked like a rock fans, drunks all the time). The location is very good and it's possible go to the Chinese Theater by foot.

“It'll do for a quick trip.”

Very bare bones, not luxury by a looong shot but very conveniently located close to the train and other important locations and that made it worth it.

“Steady Super 8”

Super 8 isn't a sexy place to stay, but it does the job. Free parking, convenient location, no hassles with getting in and out.. I'm a fan.

“BEWARE !!!!!”

HORRIBLE... I travel all the time for many years and never have I had a hotel treat me the way this hotel treated me. They had me park in a secure location since their SMALL (better have a small car) Parking Lot was full. The night manager took my car keys just in case if they had to move the car since it was parked in the employee lot.. He lost the keys and denies he ever took the keys though I had two friends with me seeing him take the keys. $375 Dollars later since this was a car rental and the rental had to get the car re-keyed since they were special type of keys. So I had to have my friends drive me around to do business until I got a replacement car. The room was VERY SMALL.. granted my friends room was almost 2 1/2 times bigger then mines. They never did clean the room though I left late and saw the maid and she said she will do the room next and never did it. Basically the night manager lied and possibly lost the keys and cost me lots of money. The room was very small. Hotel room and hallways was run down including the carpet. Parking was way small for any normal size car (better not have a truck or SUV). They did not clean my room, the towels were small and limited and behind the bed was never cleaned by the amount of dust/dirt/mold/garbage was back there. Only thing good was the price but will never stay there again....

“Not the best but Can't beat the price”

The room was not very clean but you can't beat the price or proximity to Hollywood landmarks. The hotel is located right near Sunset Blvd. and I was able to take a bus from LAX with one transfer that stopped right in front of the hotel. This is my second stay at Super 8 Hollywood. I would stay there again if I were on a small budget. The staff is friendly and most of the guests are Europeans on holiday. The area is not upscale but I never felt unsafe even at night.
