“jenny from ohio”
The staff was excellent! My room was really clean.
“Nice pet-friendly hotel”
Staff very friendly and nice...very convienant to shopping and restaurants...and good to pets!
“Better Options in SFV”
Although Tarzana Inn is one of the more affordable hotels in the San Fernando Valley, it does not live up to its descriptions. True, the room was clean when we arrived; however, it had a strange odor from the cleaning chemicals which took about a half an hour to air out. The television was outdated and of the 90+channels advertised, nearly half had "snow' distortion, thus compromising the image. While other units in the Inn may have enjoyed consistent WiFi, ours was spotty and the service consistently struggled to bring up even simple sites like Yahoo. We have no intention of returning to the Inn and I would suggest that other travelers to the Southland, look for other bargains.
“Good Basic Value”
The Tarzana Inn provided a large, comfortable room at a very good price. I didn't use it, but the pool was crystal clear although a bit small. The included Continental Breakfast was adequate. Overall it was a good value for a very reasonably priced hotel.
“Noisy”
The location and the exterior are very good. Unfortunately, that's where it ended for us. The room, upon arrival, was very warm, so we opened the only window, which faced the side street off of busy Ventura Blvd. The noise from Ventura AND the nearby 101 freeway was nearly deafening. So, when time for bed, we switch on the a.c., which was the typical cheap hotel model. It was as loud as the freeway noise! Needless to say, a terrible night's sleep! Didn't stick around for breakfast. The neighborhood is full of restaurants, Whole Foods, and shopping...nice, with a very cosmopolitan feel. The staff was friendly and the place is clean and well-maintained. It was disappointing that, for around $100, it wasn't conducive to the most important thing, i.e., SLEEP!
“Pleasant hotel in LA”
Easy to reach from freeway 101, good hotel, clean and cool pool, breakfast was ok (but there should be more chairs and tables in the breakfast room) All in all a nice hotel to stay one or two nights.
“A nice place to stay, good neighborhood”
A well kept independently owned motel with a well kept infrastructure, clean, quiet, in a residential neighborhood close to the freeway and restaurants and other services.. We were attending a meeting in the area and chose this location due to close proximity to our meeting place. Could not have asked for a better experience and the price was relatively reasonable. We will stay here again.
“Humboldt in Los Angeles”
I go to LA often for business and pleasure. When I want to rock and roll I stay in Tarzana at the Inn! Paladino's rock club is about a mile from the hotel and I like to rock there no matter what day of the week I am there! The Inn is perfect for aging rockers like me, I sleep late it's quiet and when I am up early the coffee is perfect!
