Nice hotelPosted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Small cozy, nice rooms, good price
Cons: Hotel needs a computer and printer for guests to have the ability to print boarding passes.
We were in Cal. on vacation the Tarzana Inn was in a nice location ( could jump right on the highway, but was still very quiet ) at a good price. Nice clean pool and very nice, friendly staff.

Good one night stayPosted Jan 8, 2014
Decent and enough for one night stay if you don't plan to stay in room all time. Room is neat and clean. Nothing fancy. Very close to the metro bus stops. Overall a good stay, no complain. Parking was at the back. Plenty of spaces.

Convenient City hotelPosted May 15, 2013
Location: easy to find on the main road with plenty of parking.
The complimentary breakfast was limited and very boring. The room was fine if small but the shower was fixed at a level that was too low for an average height adult and the temperature controls did not adjust easily. Other than that the hotel was fine as long as you were not looking to spend a large part of the day!

Reliable, well-priced motelPosted Mar 1, 2013
Pros: Clean and comfortable room
Cons: Noisy air-conditioning unit
Location: Convenient for the Ventura freeway
This is a clean, above-average motel-type property with decent-sized rooms, comfortable beds and a small, attractive-looking (we didn't actually try it) pool in a very convenient location near the Ventura freeway. The only downsides we found were a noisy aircon unit and somewhat variable, though basically adequate, breakfast.

Disappointing experiencePosted Dec 29, 2012
Location: location was good, not too far from hollywood
I had a disappointing experience in this motel. It is overall o.k, but did have some annoying things. When we came in the room it was smelly and t.v had "snow" on the children channels. There was no bath tub, just a shower. We switched to another room, which did have a bath, but was still "snowing" on t.v. channels above 50. Smell was the same. The bath tub drainage did not work well and it took a long time for the water to go down. Continental breakfast was o.k., though the lady there did not seem very friendly. The worst of all was when I went to the front desk to ask for extra bath tub towels and they were blaming me that my room was missing a towel set. I certainly did not steal any of their precious towels and they just ruined my mood that evening. This never happend to me in any other hotel. They should try to be more sensitive if they want any of the guests to come back to this hotel.

One night stay in TarzanaPosted Oct 18, 2012
Pros: Clean room, good bedding and comfortable to sleep.
Cons: dark and no view
Location: busy street conviently located
WE had a dog, so they put us in the rooms that take pets, the only problem was the room was in the corner and very dark, we had no view, but it was close to walking the dog outside. I felt like I was in a cave.

Sleepless in TarzanaPosted Sep 4, 2012
Cons: noisy thin walls
Location: whole foods, shopping just block east on ventura blvd. Nice shopping dining area.
Wonderful staff could not be nicer! But, someone has to be honest on this site. Hotel is great location, near freeway right on Ventura Blvd so near shopping and restaurants just go down the Blvd you have it all. BUT, near 101 freeway on VB = noise. Lots of it. Doesn't help that hotel has paper thin walls and herd of elephants staying upstairs and people in adjoining room seem to be playing tennis agaist the common wall. All rooms face pool, more noise. Recent refurbished and redesign obviously made bathroom smaller to give dressing area...cramped one. Shower Burns, freezes, burns, freezes. Felt like I was doing physical therapy instead of taking a 5 min shower. Place looks OK bless their hearts keeping it clean in spite of older furniture and old motel smell. Unfriendly sign on door basically if you are late with checkout you are buying another night stated in firm verbage. All in all, desk staff so nice, but can't do repeat. Need to sleep. Overpriced for what you have. They don't let you pay through Expedia which is kind of inconvienent for me I like fast checkout of prepaid room. Pay equal or little more and you will sleep better & have better amenities.

Very nice motel at a very reasonable price. The garden needs more work.
