Paradise at TerraneaPosted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: I think the property location is top notch - it sits on cliffs overlooking the ocean. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful location / setting!
Cons: I'd say the prices for drinks / food by the pool is a little on the high end - but they have to pay their bills I guess.
Location: The location was convenient from LAX. It only took us about 25 minutes to get there from the airport. We stayed at the property for the most part.
We had a wonderful stay at the Terranea. The property is absolutely stunning and the service was excellent. I can't rate our experience any higher - it was perfect. I've stayed in many higher end LA properties and I think this is the best of the lot. I will definitely be back. If you choose to stay here, I recommend you ask for an ocean view room.

Weekend get away.Posted Mar 10, 2014
We have stayed here a dozen times. Only live a mile away but it is the best place to get away to. No point in driving a few hours. When the weather is great this facility is second to none.

Value, Views, Valhalla!Posted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: Everything was fantastic.
Cons: Difficult to say, it was very well done.
What a treat! I had no idea this place (or a place like it) existed so close to LA and the shoreline...who knew!? I travel a great deal and I'm usually at the Mandarin O Chain or the Hyatt Andaz group of lovely hotels. So my expectations were based solely on my friends from the area that live in Rancho Palos Verdes. I'm fully addicted to this place and for good reason. The staff just amazed me. The food and property was a delight from minute one till the end of my stay. Just sitting on the balcony watching the hotel falcon (yes, they have a falcon on seagull patrol...the non violent version I should add) going about his daily routine was so cool to witness. Check in was perfect with or without the glass of Champagne. The bed was Uber comfy, best sleep in ages! Leaving was the only crappy part...but, I'll be back. I miss the Terranea breeze and can't wait to return. Very well done!

Great views, an excellent hotel, and an outstanding staff. Only downside was that there was no real beach available.

This resort was amazing.Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Beautiful, rooms were a good size, excellent layout.
Location: We mainly stayed on the resort, and did a little hiking along the beach.
The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The view is breathtaking and the facilities like the pool and golf course were perfect. I would recommend this resort to anyone and I will be going there again.

Lovely location!Posted Feb 21, 2014
My husband and I stayed here with our 3 kids (infant, 7, 16) and it was wonderful for all of us. I'd love to go back. The hotel, views and grounds were lovely! The food was great too.

Just THE BEST! Quiet rooms, clean, Paradise!Posted Feb 21, 2014
The perfect place to sleep the first night around in L.A. after a 12-hour long distance flight. No traffic noise, perfect rooms and sea air. We'd never book anywhere else again when in L.A.

Beautiful propertyPosted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Loved the property. Considered in Time share till we found out the price range was between 1-3million for a 60-90 consecutive stay with a $3500. HOA.
Cons: Restaurant options & better food.
Location: Ate strip mall down from the resort.
Great resort. Disappointed in restaurant choices, food wasn't 5star, not much menu choice, & very expensive. Valet $35 a night.

LA but feels like Big SurPosted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Service, cleanliness, great maintenance, good food
Cons: Room service took 90 minutes! Getting our car from the valet 30!!
Location: Can not beat this location! Incredible sunsets, sunrises, ocean views, wildlife, right next to hard to beat golfing, hiking and shopping
Long weekend stay with family, visiting family in West LA, easy access to downtown and West LA, once in the Palisades peninsula, you leave Los Angeles behind. Resort is pristine, unequaled views, a little busy but understandably so. Staff is very attentive despite the large amount of guests, facility is in great shape, wonderful spa and restaurants.

From the moment you enter the Resort you're surrounded by gorgeous views and exceptional service. It's boutique Marea is a must stop for unique and beautiful apparel and accessories. The gym is also very nice. It's pricey but worth it if your desire a truly resort experience.
