Pros: It's "boutique" flavor The fact that the windows could be opened. Ease and close proximity of parking.
Cons: Upgrade of furnishings.
Parking good, nice sized room, clean but not luxurious. Very nice breakfast. Good for the price. Easy access to other beach cities.

Excellent small Hotel near Venice Beach

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: Welcoming, clean and tidy!
Cons: They just about covered everything you would need whilst on holiday and beat some of the big chains into fits!
Location: Venice Beach - okay it can be a bit scary but for an overnight or two in LA on our way to Niagara Falls, it was perfect.
We were welcomed at the Inn even though we were early by a very nice Receptionist who went out of his way to make us welcome. There were 6 of us in the party from Western Australia and we were very impressed with our accommodation. We didn't expect a 5 star hotel as we were travelling middle of the road, but value for money is what we received at this place! Would definitely stay here again if the come to LA again.

Good location but a bit pricey

Posted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: Arranged late check out (for a fee). Relaxed atmosphere. Good transfer service to airport
Cons: Price, but I guess its a destination
Location: Plenty to eat, bike rentals everywhere, beach is a short walk.
Good sized room (we had a disabled room). Basic American-style continental breakfast. Easy access to beach, restaurants and everything. Short cab ride to Santa Monica

Great location close to the beach.

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Being only 2 blocks from the beach and to the Venice fishing jetty. Hotel staff were very friendly and assisted in arranging transport to venues. Outside of the "Hop on Hop" bus service if one needed to go to another area one needed a Taxi, own transport or a personal driver as public transport was limited. Surf was up, the locals were saying that they hadn't seen it this wild for quite some time, news report mentioned approx 80 odd rescues were carried out. Beach was vert clean a credit to everyone. Restaurants are within walking distants, including the Venice Beach boardwalk. All in all we were satisfied and would recommend the Hotel.

Great hotel, close to restaurants and boardwalk. Ideal location near canal and shops, corner market and great food establishments and pier. Bike rentals right next door to hotel and up the street, too. 15 mins. from LAX and slept like a baby, in the clean room. Will stay here again. Free little breakfast in mornings, coffee, juice, bagles, cereal, fruit etc. enough to fill you up until you go eat lunch. (I loved the food guy, he always talked to us). Parking is hit or miss, with the $15 per night charge. Cheaper then most at $25 per night. If parking is full, you have to park in street and move your car before 8:00 am. No charge, though. Not, too bad, people are up and gone by then, anyway.

Cute, funky hotel in great location

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Location, room cleanliness and comfort, helpful staff.
Cons: Air con didn't seem to work when you weren't in the room (that's OK!) but took a while to cool the room when you came in. Coin laundry would be good.
Location: Close to Venice Beach and Santa Monica, plenty of cafes and bars within 5 minute walk. Bike rental and surf shops nearby.
I think this is the first time that I have ever stayed in a hotel room and which looked exactly like the photo on the website! We had a great, two night stay here and appreciated the proximity to cafes, convenience stores and the Beach Cities. The homemade cookies on check-in were great, and we didn't realise that the hotel had breakfast included either! We felt the air con in the room could have been a little more effective and would have preferred a metered cab service with credit card facility to the airport - we asked the hotel to book us a cab for our early departure and the service was a non-metered cash only car. However, these were minor things which didn't affect our enjoyment of our stay.

Nice hotel blocks from the beach

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Modern Art Deco design
Stayed 5 nights recently and really enjoyed the comfort of the hotel as well as the proximity to the beach. There are several nice restaurants walking distance. Staff were very pleasant. Asked for a late checkout with no problem. Rates are about as reasonable as you'll get in the area. Would definitely stay again.
