“great location for your stay before a cruise in long beach”
Stayed after our cruise. Took a couple of tours very interresting, staff were very helpfull. Free shuttle to go into LongBeach. would recomend it.
“A Walk into History”
Spending a night on the Queen Mary was a wonderful walk into history for us. We enjoyed the many exhibits that have been placed in strategic locations on the "old" ocean liner, and were delighted to see the restored wooden railings on the stairways and the well maintained lovely wooden features within our clean and cozy stateroom. Yes, there are negatives; the walls are thin, the porcelain fixtures in the bathroom are wearing. BUT, the tub was deep enough to serve as a spa! Overall, it was a grand experience.
“Nice stay”
This is a historical ship built in the 1930's. Take this into consideration, if your expectations are for a 5 star resort! I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was nice, and the ship was so nice. I slept well -- it is NOT for light sleepers. The room and bathroom were small and everything in the room is 1930's standards, except the bed, linens and TV. Stay here if you're into history and charm. Don't stay here if you want a modern hotel or dead silence while you sleep -- you won't get it.
“Historic Setting”
What a fun place to stay! I travel to Long Beach on a regular basis and this is a personal favorite. Always great service and the ghost tour is especially fun!
“Everything is Excellent! Definately Will return to the Queen Mary!!”
I loved everything about the room, very clean, great service, great front desk staff, great hotel operator, great room service, bed was super comfortable, I expected the room to be tiny seeing that it is on a ship but was pleasantly surprised that it was very spacious. I only stayed for 2 nights and wish I had stayed longer. Can't wait to go back! Many on board food options as well!
“Sleep Aboard History”
Staying onboard is not for everyone but I enjoyed my one night stay. Rooms have old fixtures still in place to give you a glimpse into her historic past plus you can freely walk the decks to view stories and images of the old days. Stayed in a harbor view king room which was nice. Comfortable bed and nice port hole views of Long Beach. There was a TV but the wrong remote was in the room so couldn't operate. There was a lot of dust that I thought should've been cleaned. The bathtub wall was falling apart - but in ggod condition for her age! Checkin was with a trainee and not the fastest plus she gave a few pieces of misinformation, like where the room was. Breakfast in the Promenade Cafe was pleasant and had fast service. Note, in the bar they do last call one hour before closing. Overall like my stay.
“its a pretty good and romantic place to stay”
i really enjoyed my night in this hotel, was really nice and romantic place. perfect to be with someone special.
“Most unique”
Always enjoy bringing a friend and giving them my tour or signing up for a ship tour. I've stayed in 4 rooms now and have found discrepancies in sizes and location despite the fact all were the same price. Don't spend much time in your room here, there's a nostalgic bar, great restaurants and stores onboard.
“love the boat”
Went for my daughters birthday. We got to Long Beach at 10a so we could explore the boat and the city. We went to the front desk to find out details about check in and we found they had a room ready for us. After finding our room we explored the ship. The staff was very informative, helpful, and nice. The room was great. The king bed was huge. The bathroom was small with some strange dip in the bathtub. But that is what they used in the good old days. We loved this place and will come back if in Long Beach. Are only disappointment was not seeing any ghosts.
“AN EXPENSIVE MOTEL 6 ACCOMODATIONS”
NOT A PLACE TO SPEND A RESTFUL STAY, IT IS A MUSEUM FOR FOLKS WHO LIKES HISTORICAL SHIP AND WILLING TO SPEND A DAY TO EXPLORE , BUT NOT TO STAY FOR THE NIGHT, THE BED IS EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE AND ROOM WAS CRAMP. IT WAS A MISTAKE, NOT A CHANCE TO GO BACK NOR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. ADD A FEW MORE DOLLARS AND I COULD HAVE STAYED IN A 5 STAR HOTEL ALONG OCEAN BOULEVARD..... THIS IS A COMPARABLE MOTEL 6 !
