Pros: Food and service were excellent
Cons: Hotel is starting to show its age. Bathrooms need to be modernized and updated
HVAC in the room was not very good. We had the air conditioning on MAX, but it was largely ineffective. We called engineering. Very nice chap came up to check it out. Apparently there was not much he could do. I believe this issue to be room specific. But I would mention this at the front desk upon check in

A beautiful, luxurious hotel on the beach in the best part of greater Los Angeles. The hotel staff were the friendliest I've ever encountered.

Always a great experience

I travel from Nj to the Riverside area once a year or so and ALWAYS stay at the Ritz at Marina Del Ray. This past weekend I completed business the same day I checked in so I cut my stay short by one night to fly home and be with my family. I checked out at 5am and the manager on duty asked if there was anything wrong or if they did something that would cause me to leave early. I explained no not at all I simply missed my family and business was done. The stay was great. First class cleanliness as expected at any Ritz. The bed was simply AMAZING! Best night sleep in months. Everything you could want was there and staff extremely nice. Great water view. This area is awesome to visit and if your there on Monday night take a stroll along the docks to the restraunt next door (cant remember name) for Monday night football and great food. Some people complain about the cost but come on its the freakin Ritz! You get what you pay for and if you want comfort, upscale atmosphere, great food etc. You will never go wrong. See you guys again soon! Thanks again!

Birthday weekend

The staff was absolutely amazing. It was my first time in California as well as the Ritz Carlton and from the time we arrived until our last day it was a pleasure. The food was delicious and the view was gorgeous. I cannot wait to return. They really do treat you like royalty lol. And you never know what celebrity you might see FYI!

Blow dryer didn't turn off. You had to unplug from the wall to disconnect. Water pressure in the shower did not have a lot of pressure. Spa services were excellent!!!

Ok hotel, but service is not good

Service was not great. In room dining took over an hour and half at least every time. Staff in the hotel lobby not too friendly.

Perfect to visit our daughter at LMU

Pros: It's a good fit.
Cons: Streamlined coffee in the morning.
This was our second stay here. It's a very convenient location if you have a car (which is a necessity to get around LA). The pool/hot tub is a relaxing oasis. Very clean. Friendly, well trained staff. No complaints. Nice views of the marina.

Exceptional service - an outstanding stay

Pros: The staff were extremely helpful and it is a very calm and relaxing place to stay. I liked the pool and club lounge.
Location: Bikes can be hired from the hotel, you can walk to Venice Beach and visit the farmer's market and lovely boutiques on Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
Stayed here in a club room and enjoyed the complementary refreshments and concierge service in the relaxing club lounge. The polite and friendly concierges ensure you are greeted and looked after, and the lounge is a great place to go for a morning coffee with breakfast or glass of wine before dinner. The room had a view of the marina and was cleaned every day, featuring soft robes and high end toiletries. Had dinner at the Cast & Plow restaurant, which was excellent, great steak and fries, fellow diners were a good mix of business people, couples and friends. For variety and if you don't want to drive, Killer Shrimp, Cafe del Rey,The Cheesecake Factory, Tony P's, Venice Beach and Abbot Kinney are all a short walk away.

Absolutely Perfect!

Second time I stayed in a Ritz Carlton and it was just as excellent as the first time. Over the top service - I mean better then anywhere else, luxururious, clean, friendly environment and staff. Awesome pool and huge outside hot-tube open 24/7, I mean who does that but Ritz. Great food, flexible and helpful with check-in and check-out. I run as exercise and was given directions to Venice beach and easily and fast got down there. Will definitly come back and recommend this hotel to anyone staying in LA.

just not worth that kind of outlay The Beverly Hilton was infinitely better and a 3rd of the price !

However, I am sorry that you felt the price was too high compared to the Beverly Hilton. There are a couple of possible reasons why we were more expensive.
