Great Stay

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: Views, friendly staff, cleanliness, comfortable bed.
Cons: More staff on duty during peak checkout times. We waited over 30 minutes for someone to get our bags before we took them down on our own.
Location: Don't know....we went to the Hollywood Bowl one night and spent the next day wandering around the Hollywood/Highland complex.
We had a great stay this past weekend. Staff were incredible friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, but a little on the small side. The only "staff" issue we had was that we waited for quite some time for someone to come get our luggage. We finally just took it down to our car on our own as we we ready to do some other things before heading home. The BonaVista looks a little worn but it was a nice place to spend a few hour talking, having a drink and watching the city lights. Last call is early....at 1:00 am and we were a little surprised by that. We would absolutely stay there again. At $42 a day, parking does seem pricey, though, even for a nice hotel in LA.

Nice hotel close to USC campus and Staples Center

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: Staff was very friendly and the rooms nice and clean, comfortable beds!
Cons: The hotel lobby looked a little dated and sterile to me, maybe a softer look?
Location: I was there to be close to USC. It was a good alternative to LA LIVE which I have stayed in many times.
I was at the Westin for business at USC. Hotel could use a little updating in the lobby, but not a deal breaker. I happened to be staying there when filming for a Hollywood movie, including helicopters swirling around the building, was taking place at 7am on Saturday morning! I wish I had know this when I booked my room. It would have been nice to sleep in! The noise was deafening! There was a small notice posted at check in informing us about the movie...too late at 11pm when we arrived. All in all, it was fine, yes, I'd stay there again. This hotel is not the Marriott LIVE down the road, I'm glad, that place is overpriced, loud and too Hollywood for me!

Pros: atmosphere
Cons: parking too pricey
Location: shops dining staples lots of entertainment
over all stay was fine. I wanted king set ended up with queen but still was fine. ended up with room close to elevator so didn't have full view. parking here is pricey so I parked at next lot over to north for about half.

Beautiful Hotel & Views

Posted Apr 27, 2014
My flight got in early, and check in wasn't until 3pm, and they had my room ready for me so I could check in earlier. I got a room on a high level with a beautiful view & the Hollywood sign. Room was nice & clean & staff were great. Would definitely recommend and will be staying there again.

good location for LA business, not leisure

Posted Apr 24, 2014
Pros: un-crowded...no problems getting anything from staff
Cons: the use of space could change... the lobby is big enough to enclose a pool, and the outdoor pool, which is nearly a block away, can be sold
Location: good for LA business, restaurants, proximity to old town LA, concert halls, staples center, etc
efficient parking and checkin, no problems...hotel property is huge and mostly concrete, so somewhat cold in appearance...

Fantastic Downtown LA Hotel

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: The rooms were very nice, lots to choose from for restaurants and the gym was excellent
Cons: The pool was shaded by other buildings for a lot of the day
Location: We drove everywhere! Went to Newport Beach, Malibu and Venice. Toured through Beverly Hills as well. Rush hour is brutal.
My husband, 5 month old daughter, 16 year old step daughter and my mother stayed with me at this hotel. We all were very impressed. The staff is very helpful and efficient. The Brewery is a great restaurant. The pool is nice, but shaded for a lot of the day (we were there in April)

Great location, great price.

Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Location, pool, view from rooms and elevator.
Cons: Parking and wifi need to be included.
Location: LA Live is just mile away, Dodgers stadium is less than 5 miles away.
Excellent hotel, clean, beautiful, and friendly staff. The biggest downfall would be the parking. There is no free parking for guests, so it's $42.00 a night...yep...THAT MUCH. I think that's crazy. Also, there's no free WiFi, it's like $12.00 a day or something like that. But, there is a starbucks across the street. Also, no complimentary breakfast. But the coffee/water in the room is complimentary. Other than those charges, which should be free, our stay was great. Pool is great and the hotel has lots of dining options. Brewery on 4th floor is excellent, happy hour is great.
