Mixed emotions

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Facility, location, gym, pool
Cons: Customer Service.
Location: Located downtown. You can walk to attractions
Room was beautiful. Beautiful view. Room Service got order wrong, called back to get it right, I got a called from the original operator in a nasty tone to blame me for the wrong order, saying I was not specific about what I wanted. They sent the right item yet they were not annoyed about it. They were not courteous at all. The internet service sucks, first day had internet in the room, second day no internet service, my computer and phone froze, had to call front desk and they switched me directly to the internet company where I had to wait a while before being taken care. At the end they open a ticket and I wasn't charged for it. Yet it took time of my trip to do this. Internet should be free in rooms like many other high end hotels. In general phone operators are obnoxious . They need to smile more, we can hear when they do. Pool service and cleaning people were very nice and polite.

The staff was helpful and the facilities were good. Our room was nice but didn't get cleaned until after dinner.

The rooms were clean. Close to USC

My experience was horrible, I have already paid for the hotel and when I did the check in they offer me upgrade the room since I have the SPG card but they didn't tell me they will charge $80 taxes per night. My last they was friday because I want to enjoy the last free day with my son. I did the check out and waiting for 30 minutes and they told me Ms Torres another guest took you're rental car. I have to wait all day because the guest didn't return the car. The car was empty and my personal GPS was broken and the car has scratches. The sad part is the special day and time that I have to spend with my son. 😞

Bad

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything, tear it down and start over
Location: no
the room was dirty, particularly the bath room that had to be cleaned top to bottom at 11:30 pm. i arrived at 10:30 The parking is the highest i ever paid, the hotel is loud, the bell people were not helpful at all. I will never stay there again. The structure it's self make getting in and out very difficult. The breakfast menu was the highest i've ever seen and i've been all over the world at 5 star hotels

though I was disappointed the that parking directly at the hotel structure was full and I had to park across the street. That was the only inconvenience. I Stayed one night very comfortable and clean. I would recommend to my friends and family

Comfortable beds

Expedia does not explain a 'mandatory' valet parking at $42/night. Two dirty towels were folded back up, possibly from previous guests; were replaced promptly.

We treated ourselves after a 4 day road trip

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Everything! Food, service, room, bed, pillows, bathroom, toiletries, towels, robes, everything! The proximity to the city was fabulous and the pool!
Cons: The housekeeping staff came into our room at 8:30am, we thought that was a bit early! We were missing sugar and creamers for coffee machine in room
Location: A downtown banking area, starbucks, a number of great food outlets close by, taxis out front continuously
Had a great experience from the time we pulled up, to the time we left. Loved the hotel, the amenities close by ( restaurants that are in the hotel, yet reasonable!) the pool, the gym, and the lobby areas. A VERY large hotel, took awhile to get around and to get our bearings, but certainly lovely and convenient!

Location: The Walt Disney Concert Hall, LA Public library are nearby. The metro rail is a few blocks away and that can take you to attractions such as universal
I had a nice comfortable room with modern amenities. A nice place to unwind and relax. They let me have an hour later check out, but would not allow a minute early on the check in, but they can hold your luggage. Overall it is a nice hotel, a lot of things to do in the LA downtown area i.e. shopping, bars and restaurants, some attractions. It is close to public transportation, buses and rail.

Cons: Maybe bar service by the pool... More towels, there was a period where there were no towels for about 1 hr
Overall experience was good hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay if you are going to concerts or games at Staple Cntr or Dodger Stadium.
