Downtown LA Hotel

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Location was convenient. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Parking (while probably on par with other local hotels) was expensive. There are no clocks and no robes in the room. I expected both.
Location: There is a shopping center a couple of blocks down which had a Target, H&M, CPK, Sprinkles, Victoria's Secret. The salon onsite is full service.
Convenient downtown location with nice views. We could even see the Hollywood sign from our room!

Great experience

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Maybe not charge for parking for the guests.
Location: Everything was nearby.
I had a great experience staying there. Everything was good and comfortable, can't complain of the space. Also, everything is nearby love the fact that they had Starbucks.

Good location in downtown LA.

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Iconic late 1970s, early 1980s hotel - a bit like Dynasty!
Cons: the rooms need to be soundproofed
We spent two nights in a room with a fantastic view. Great pool. Additional amenities like parking or internet are way overpriced!

Very accommodating!

I really appreciated their service. I booked the hotel through expedia 30min before I had arrived, dropped the car off at valet went to the desk, checked in, everything was done within 5min flat. I've never experienced checking into a hotel that fast expecially 4 hrs before check-in time. I loved my stay here.

Super Atmosphere in clean safe area.

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: The cleanliness and efficiency of getting everything done as requested.
Cons: I would like to see dogs and other pets restricted to dedicated rooms. I would like to know if pets had been in the room before we arrived.
Location: We had limited time this time. We like parks, historic places and nice restaurants.
Absolutely top class staff. Answered all of our questions and even helped us with our new I-pad! I could not find one fault with this superbly run establishment as would certainly like return and stay a few days longer. The facilities are all first class but the people make the difference. Thank you everyone.

One night stay for a family visit

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: location is great for downtown access.
Cons: signage to registration
Hotel is a landmark and we have seen it on so many movies it intrigued us to stay. It was hard to find the hotel registration from the valet parking. The signage is not good.

Bonaventure Parking....NOT GOOD!

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: The room and the view.
Cons: Free Parking for guests.
Location: Didn't get a chance to do much, we were so tired from the drive in, trying to find the hotel and trying to find parking that didn't gouge us.
First: Every other street going one way, makes it difficult to maneuver, making it difficult to locate the hotel. Second, waited 10 minutes in-line to get into the parking structure only to find out there is no guest parking, and you're at the mercy of the valet, NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER. Third, $48.00 to park, 10% city tax and of course the obligatory valet tip. Parking costs, easily $70.00 for ONE NIGHT...YIKES! Never again.
