Nice hotel close to USC

Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: This was a small, family-run hotel that exceeded our expectations. The rooms were dated, but very clean and well kept.
Location: Within walking distance to USC and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
The hotel may be older, but the upkeep is fresh and the rooms are spotless. The wifi worked well and the breakfast was a good continental buffet. The bed was comfortable and the room had a microwave and small refrigerator. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was alright for the money. Good location, plenty of free parking, and the room was clean and mostly functional. As for the bad, the toilet flush valve would ocassionally stick, the shower diverter leaked through the faucet, the bed was rather hard, there were no power outlets by the nightstands, and all lamp shades and cable channels were crooked, which was almost comical.

Hotel near USC

Posted Nov 27, 2014
When I took the iron out to iron my pants, hundreds of little bugs came out of the iron. It was within walking distance of USC as advertised. The continental breakfast was adequate.

It is a motel, but very clean and functional

Posted Nov 8, 2014
Pros: Comfortable bed, and the fact that everything was functional. Many times, even at high-end hotels, something is out of order (light fixture etc.)
Cons: Plumbming noise.
It is a motel and the room was small but they maintain this property very well. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. A fridge and a microwave were in the room. The shower got hot fast and the water pressure was good. The towel was nice and soft. WiFi connection was solid. The only bad was the noise. You could hear next door's toilet flushing, and the traffic noise. If you're a light sleeper you might want a pair of ear plugs or a white noise maker. They provid free breakfast as well. There were cerial, milk, donuts, bagles and cream cheese, bananas, apples, Juices, tea and coffee. The coffee was really good. Walking distance to USC, CVS and various fast food joints.

Cheap & Clean

Posted Nov 4, 2014
I need a hotel for the night while I was in town to see a show at the Nokia Theatre. It worked out fine. It was clean & cheap and close to the theatre. Not the kind of hotel I'd want to spend all day in, but good for a clean place to crash.

40% of the cost of conference hotels

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Location.
Location: USC, Nokia Theater, La Live, and the convention center all within ten minutes.
This is just your typical highway hotel except for the fact that it is right next to USC and buses run every ten minutes to take you to the convention center and the Nokia theater. The bus stops in front of the hotel and in front of the convention center ten minutes away. The hotel is safe because USC has *ambassadors* patrolling the area 24/7. The conference hotel was $245 a night, the Vagabond was $109, a real life saver. Breakfast was pitiful but so what? The rooms were clean, safe and quiet. The parking was free.

Poorly Maintained Property

Posted Oct 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
Pool was not maintained and had a green color to the water. The comforter on the bed was dirty and should have been clean. The shower in the bath did not work properly.
