Sister's Vacation

This was a great place to stay on our California vacation. We visited the Sequoia National Forest. The rooms were comfortable and we had a great little breakfast.

Well presented, clean motel.

Pleasant motel. Very clean and good location for a stroll down to the shops and bars. Only let down is road traffic was very loud as the apartments were not well soundproofed. 99 bottles of beer bar was great for both food and drink.

Filthy nasty dirty

Cons: New buildig, service staff and owners

Horrible, nightmare, noisy, filthy poor sanitation terrible carpet and the building should be condemned $150.00/night was highway robbery, and I am sorry, but I should have been paid to stay there.

Great location if your going to the Staple Center also lots of place to eat at.

Pros: Location
Cons: Keep it neat and painted.
Location: Good place to stay because of location to Exposition Park, USC, LA Col.
OK, but just above average. It seemed safe. The pool was clean for the grandkids.

Convenient location next to USC

Pros: Reasonable price.
Cons: Better maintenance. The tower rack is about to break.
Convenient location next to USC with reasonable pricing. For a short one to two nights visit to USC, this is perfect. There are a few restaurants nearby as an add-on bonus.

Convenient

Stayed here with my husband for one night (Sat-Sun). Although we'd usually stray away from "Inns", we chose Vagabond because it was in close proximity to STAPLES Center, where we were late Saturday night, it was cheap and available last minute. Checked-in late Saturday night in less than 5 minutes. I do agree with some of the other posts that the staff is not as professional as other hotel experiences. Our room was a decent size, as well as the bathrooms. The showers are not the prettiest, but it was clean and the water was hot. Only complaint was the AC. It's a mounted wall AC, in the back of the room in the bathroom space, so it took about a 1/2 hour to an hour to really feel the cold air. It wasn't uncomfortably hot prior to the AC being on, but I would have hated to experience that on a really hot LA day.

Didnt handle emergency well

Power was out and hotel office was overwhelmed. Staff did not update guests as to when power would be restored.

The phones were also dead and she had no way of calling every Guest. We also did not have much information on how long it would take for the LA Power Department to fix problem as it was caused by a major vehicle accident a few blocks from us.
