Fancy Hollywood hotel in the heart of LA.Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Exactly what you think of when you think of LA and Hollywood.
Cons: Coffee maker in the room would be nice, but they have everything else.
Stayed here to go to a concert at the graveyard nearby in Hollywood Forever. Great stay and location.

Nice, close to AMDA where I needed to bePosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Very clean and bright.
Cons: Room was smaller than I thought it should be - would have been nice to have sitting chairs none available. Needs more light. Lighting was poor.
Location: 24Kitchen Waffle Restaurant. Griffith Park
Thurs/Fri/Sat - very nice staff. Very helpful in offering information and directions. Would definitely stay again.

Nice and CentralPosted Oct 6, 2014
Stayed at the W for 3 nights, great location in the heart of Hollywood. Sub station right underneath. There were always taxis waiting outside. Hollywood walk of Fame on the door step. Great bar / restaurant onsite. The Sunday pool party on the roof top was awesome, amazing views, the hostesses were great and the food was good. The day beds are expensive at this time but worth it as there were no lounges available. The gym was large and well equipped with quality machines. The free apples in the gym and at reception were a nice touch for a quick bite. The rooms were nice and big,we had 3 in a room and we had more than enough space. The beds were big and comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Great Location for this Hipster ParadisePosted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: Concierge was super helpful - even located me a pair of nail clippers
Location: Pantages Theater, trying to be nicer to tourists Hollywood, Fonda Theater
I'm too old to bother trying to be hip anymore but this place is a great location, opposite the Pantages and for me close to the Fonda Theater where the concert I was attending was held. When I arrived the main lobby was acting as a film set for some weird looking movie or video shoot so I headed out to the bar. Drinks were served by a very pleasant and highly attractive young lady and prices were surprisingly reasonable. Later in the evening this place gets crazy busy as folks arrive from around L.A. and there was a good smattering of upwardly mobile young people. I had a great time and felt like this would be a great place to hang out for a longer period of time and people watch. Oh BTW the hotel room was clean and comfortable. I'll be back!

Not worth it!Posted Sep 22, 2014
$500 deposit, $40 valet parking, $14 for low internet and it goes on....... Expedia were brilliant! They negotiated my deposit down to $250 after I said I couldn't afford to pay $500 required by hotel. However W Hotel made me feel like a burden. They had $250 deposit however I had to pay cash upfront for EVERYTHING! Seriously invest your money elsewhere they are not worth it.

From check-in to check-out, the experience at the W Hollywood was fantastic. Concierge was genuinely friendly and very helpful with recommendations -- and the hotel itself was gorgeous.

High class, party centralPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Beautiful facility, very contemporary design and rooms. Very comfortable, secure.
Location: Good location, not right in the middle of the Hollywood Blvd craziness but close enough.
Very posh, high end, lots of nightlife and "beautiful people". More for the younger crowd, for sure, but we enjoyed the stay. Party or premier or music going on every night we were there.
