Pros: Location, room amenities and the amazing staff.
Location: Easy access to freeway, movie theatre and restaurants located across the street and the shopping is a short drive.
We come down to this area every Thanksgiving to do our Black Friday shopping and always stay at the Hilton. But the Marriott was cheaper this year so we decided to change it up. We stayed two nights and both nights everything about the hotel was very nice. Elevators were fast, room was quiet and nicely appointed. There is also a Starbucks located in the lobby. Our disaster came the day we checked out. We checked out of the hotel and then walked to the car (located in the hotel parking structure) only to find out that everything we had purchased for our family's Christmas had been stolen. I immediately notified hotel security and they wrote up a report. This was when we discovered the parking structure only has cameras at the entrance/exit. So, it really isn't very secure. We also notified the police and it took them over 4 hours to arrive. During that 4 hours we had to sit in the lobby. The hotel staff went above and beyond to do anything in their power to help us. I am 7 months pregnant and was extremely distraught over the fact that someone had basically taken my 2 year olds Christmas from him. The Starbucks didn't charge me for the breakfast I purchased and the hotel bought us lunch. To be honest, the hotel staff left more of an impression on us than the actual hotel did. And I would personally return again for that fact alone.

Cons: Move those ice/soda machines away from rooms.
Location: Westfield shopping + AMC theater directly across street.
Got the concierge king room, which means private floor with key access. With this comes free wifi and continental breakfast on your floor. I like it. Caters nicely to business travelers like me who want a clean no-nonsense stay. Room was nothing fancy, but well cared for. Not sure why all hotels seem to think down pillows are what people want. I can never sleep on those things. Too soft. My room was about 10 steps from the ice/soda machines in hallway. That was the only peeve. Otherwise, great stay!

I had a pleasant time at the Marriott Woodland Hills. The room was perfect, bed was comfy, staff was great too, so was the gym and the outdoor swimming pool. The major thing I was bothered by during my stay there was that after a long day of work, I had one beer at the bar and they charged me for two. By the time the current server found the server that had made the mistake so she could correct that and I could pay for the one beer I'd had, I had waited thirty minutes and was ready to pass out. The minor thing I noticed was that the garbage underneath the desk hadn't been thrown out through my stay. But maybe that last bit is normal. Other than that, I had a wonderful time there. Thank you!

Location: Having the mall across the way was nice.
For my fact-finding trip, this was a great central location.

We have stayed here before. Always a wonderful experience. Right across from great shopping, restaurants, movies. Would recommend to everyone.
