“I wouldn't recommend this hotel”

I've stayed in a lot of similar type hotels, and there is nothing about this one that would make me come back. There was a really bad smell in the first room I was given. The smell was probably coming from the bathroom, but it made the entire room smell bad. I couldn't identify the smell, maybe musty, maybe the smell of old cigarette smoke. I tried to ignore it, but couldn't. I told the front desk and was assured the hotel was a non-smoking facility. At first, I was told there weren't any similar rooms available and was offered something to "spray" in the room. A few minutes later, I was offered a different room which didn't smell. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about. There was a dilapidated, vacant bowling alley next door. Wouldn't stay here again if I had the choice.

“Great Hotel”

We stayed there for one night on our way to Yosemite. The room was nice and clean. It's a great place to stay if you don't want to drive all the way from SF to Yosemite in one day.

“Good play to stay for yosemite trips.”

Hotel is pretty comfortable for a good night's sleep on your way to/from Yosemite. It's really close to Hwy 99/140 which is a huge plus. The breakfast is both adequate and fresh.

“Good nights sleep!”

We only needed to sleep and leave, but it was a great place. Wish I could of tried their breakfast but the bed was just too comfortable. Highly recommend it!

“great room”

check in was easy, room was almost brand new and clean, very roomy and comfortable. I would definately come back.

Merced is not a visitor destination but, a good place to stop and rest before traveling to other locations like Yosemite, San Francisco area, etc. There is a decent Italian restaurant next door (DeAngelo's)

“Clean but loud hotel”

Beware the location of this hotel to the adjacent freeway and railroad tracks. The 3am train is very loud and the windows didn't appear to be dual glazed. All of the staff that I met were very friendly, including the maintenance guys. Pass on the microwaved breakfast and head over to Starbucks or McDonalds which are a 5 minute walk away.

“Very Nice Hotel”

We were surprised to find such a nice "penthouse suite" in Merced. It was convenient and cool and had all the kitchen amenities we needed. We would certainly return there again.

“nice hotel in a nice area.”

hotel was in a decent area, very quiet. beds were very comfy too. the hotel is so new that the smell of wood is still present. only drawback was that the bed sheets and pillow case had a few hairs... curly hairs too.. other than that it was a nice stay.

“VERY NICE SURPRISE!!”

Kind of hidden but nice neighborhood. I was able to go for my 30 minute walk with no safety concerns. Extremely helpful and polite staff, got a requested room without all the usual "let me check", "let me call.." etc.' Very clean and I know I will stay here again.
