Arrived very late. A smiling lady was there to greet me and check me in quickly. I got an upgrade to a luxury room but the room seemed like it was an average room. I am not sure what made it a luxury room. I did not get a chance to spend enough time there to check out anything but the service was enough to make it a good experience. The hotel does need some upgrades but I will stay there again!

I stayed here last year and liked it so much we stayed again. But this year I didn't like it as much. Our T.V. was not working right and nothing could be done about it - white lines ruined the picture and although maintenance looked at it and tried a few things to fix it - it didn't help so we were forced to only watch shows that were not our favorite since the reception was better on those channels. Also, the biggest cockroach I ever saw was in the bathtub in the morning probably since maintenance sprayed for them outside the evening before. It probably crawled up the drain pipe since no cockroaches were seen in the room and it died immediately probably from the spray from the evening before. The people that run the place are really trying and are very nice but with the cost of motel rooms being to expensive and way up from last year I expect more when I stay somewhere. Last year the cost to stay there was $60 and tis year close to $90. All in all I will find better a better place to stay the week-end next year.

This was a perfect one night stay on the way to the Sierras. The owners are very nice - very welcoming and accommodating, and a pleasure to talk to and do business with.

First let me compliment the front desk staff. They were both incredibly polite, happy & helpful. The area was safe feeling but the road stayed busy all night. You can tell they are trying to update the rooms., but there is still much to be done. The bed was comfortable & all the room goodies (fridge, coffee maker & heater) all worked fine. For the price it worked.

No musty smell

Pros: No musty smell!
Cons: The electrical outlets for microwave refrigerator
Location: We were there visiting relatives so no sightseeing.
Friendly accommodating people. We had a renovated room. Not high end, but not a high price either. Comfortable, large king room. Non smoking and no smoke residue. The most pleasant thing was no musty smell like so many older motels have. The biggest downfall was the lack of electrical outlets. Had to unplug the microwave to plug in the refrigerator. One would think that when it was renovated they would have updated the electrical too.

The managers are friendly and helpful. The room is quite clean. There are signs that the management is trying to update. The room was fine for the short duration of our trip, and the rates worked in our strained budget. I would suggest that management remove some of the furniture. The chair directly in front of the a/c unit made it quite difficult to get in and out of bed.
