Just passing through

Pros: The location was great
Cons: They could fill and maintain the pool. The breakfast could have added a few choices of breads and peanut butter.
Location: The motel is about 5 miles off the interstate. There are lots of restaurants, laundry facicities and gas stations in the immediate area
We (wife and me) stayed at the Travelodge on the way to a coast highway trip. We saw the city name and couldn't resist. We checked in with no problem. The rates were low, and bed was fairly comfortable. The motel was close to restaurants, however, we decided to travel into the city to find a local restaurant. We were not disappointed. The only problem we had was the noise outside of the room the next morning. Kids running and making noise, and a couple of trucks getting ready to roll. It was about the time we were getting up anyway, so we had a quick continental breakfast and rolled on our way.

What you typically expect from a motel

I was staying overnight on a way from SF to Yosemite over the weekend. Okay for the price since this is merely a stopover for me. Several comments about the place: 1. Again, the place is independently run by an Indian family. Nothing wrong with that, but it feels weird when I was initially attended by an elderly Indian woman who can't speak English. 2. Rom feels run-down. The fire alarm was broken, the toilet flush lever was broken, the carpet seemed to be unwashed since the 80s.

it was ok with a few comments....

the place was very clean, located in a good spot, set back from the highway to reduce noise to virtually nothing, and a very helpful desk guy. our rooms were not ready at checkin time because they had shampoo'ed the carpets and the doors were open with fans to dry them. their timing could have been better but no big deal. the construction quality of the place was on the third world side so while not really fun to look at it was very functional. plenty of hot water for showers. pretty quiet from room to room but that could have been improved when they built it. i was told those on the bottom floor could hear the folks upstairs walking around. i would stay there again for the price....

Are You Serious?

Posted May 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The office was under construction, there was no listings for the hotel in the directory. The hotel was hard to locate as it sits way back off the road, The rooms were very nasty, stunk of bug spray, spots on the walls and yes I saw a bed bug behind the headboard. I called to cancel and they still charged me for 2 days and refunded the other 5 days. REALLY! Pay the extra money for health reasons!

Thank you for your review. We are sorry for any inconveniences and problems associated with the renovation of our hotel lobby. The lobby renovation has been completed. I did, however, want to address your concerns about bed bugs. Our hotel has been open about two year and, thus far, we haven't had any comments from guests arising from pests - outside of the occasional cricket. In addition, we are inspected and treated monthly for many pests, including bed bugs, by a nationally recognized pest control company. There may be other possibilities that might have caused your issue, other than the incidence of bed bugs. Finally, we have a 24 hour prior to check in cancellation policy, thus we charged you for the first 2 nights. We did refund the other 5 nights because you called after the first 2 nights. Thank you again for your comments and assistance in helping us track down the issue you had at our property. Thank you again for your comments and assistance in helping us make our property better.
