Close to restaurants and shopping.

Pros: It was clean and had all the amenities needed.
Location: We were there to attend a funeral which just happened to be down the street a little ways. Very convenient location.
I was greeted with a big smile when I entered the lobby to check in. I had requested an ADA room and was very pleased with how close our room was to the lobby. The room was equipped with everything I would need (blow dryer, iron/ironing board, refrigerator, coffee, air conditioning :-) and Wi-Fi. Our room was always made up by the time we returned and everything was neat and clean. The continental breakfast was great ... I really enjoyed the waffles and my mother always has oatmeal in the mornings and they had it there. Check out was easy. We had an enjoyable stay.

Nice hotel in Los Banos

Pros: Location, convenience, in the clean room.
Cons: The continental breakfast.
We were in town for our 50th Los Banos high school reunion. This hotel provided the perfect location. We have stayed at this hotel previously and I have always found it met our needs. The room was clean and the king size bed comfortable. Our only disappointment was the continental breakfast which was very sparse, more so then on our previous visit. All in all, we were very satisfied with the room and will stay at this facility upon our return to Los Banos in the future.

Great hotel close to I-5 and shops

Stayed overnight after visit to San Francisco. Hotel was clean and check in was quick. Good fresh coffee awaited us at check in. Pool was clean and large. Really comfortable and well priced.

Perfect for families . . . and cats

The Vagabond Inn Executive in Los Banos is the perfect stay for families looking for a clean, comfortable stay. The indoor pool area was newly renovated and in working order (though you need to bring your own towel from your room, as there are none available poolside). The rooms were clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the morning breakfast, though they probably need more than one waffle maker when the hotel is full (which is was during our stay, due to the Gilroy Garlic Festival, a few towns over) as the two minute wait time per waffle became a 10 minute wait, once a family or two stepped up with 5 cups of batter. Also to note, the parking lot is overrun with cats and young kittens. Not sure if the hotel feeds them or if they just hang out in the bushes for fun, but we counted at least a dozen different cats/kittens roaming the parking lot during our weekend stay.

Although we do not have pool towels available poolside, they are located at the front desk and our accessible 24/7. Still the best option in Los Banos

Been staying at this hotel every year for the last 8 years when i go to see family. While the rooms seem relatively clean and the staff is nice, the hotel in general is in some need of upgrading. (Worn carpet in room, aging fixtures and furniture for example) The breakfast wasnt so great as the quality just wasnt there. (Runny peanut butter, washroom paper towelsindtead of napkins, no fresh fruit available...even apples or bananas would be nice.) Hopefully management will take these comments seriously and there will be some improvements in the coming year.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and express your concerns. Yes, our hotel is definitely showing some aging. We are looking into renovating the facility and addressing the comments you mentioned, such as worn carpet in the room, aging fixtures, and furniture. I will look into the company that we purchase our peanut butter from and express your concern. We do have paper towels napkins, as well as square napkins for both our sink area and breakfast area. At times our square napkins can be hidden and I will look into making them more visible to the eye. As for the fresh fruit we always have some available and sometimes the demanded is so high we can't keep up. However this is no excuse and we will do our best to keep more supplied on hand. I hope you accept my sincere apologies, and that you will return next time you're in the area visiting your family. Kind Regards.

No Pool- No Discount??

We noticed when we arrived that the pool was empty. There was a sign on the counter that said they were doing maintenance repair. Before we checked in I asked if it would be done before our stay and the desk clerk said that they hoped it would begin to fill that afternoon. That night and the following morning the pool was still empty. It was the 4th of July weekend and swimming was in our plans for that day. When we checked out I asked about a discount and the clerk said that the manager was not doing discounts. We would have stayed somewhere else with a pool had we known.

Quick stop over close to Interstate 5
