nice hotel, close to beach. older

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: peaceful, quiet, close to beach.
Cons: could use more chairs (not lounge chairs) with tables and umbrellas. limited space to just sit out of the sun and read, relax. taxi rates posted
Location: without a cab or car, nothing seeming within walking distance, even store
A/C barely worked, but somewhat cool, thank god for ceiling fan. only one bathroom for public use, thru sushi bar up stairs, with slick tile, made it dicey for people with wet feet from pool area. pool bar busy and only one bartender other bar didnt open till about 3. staff friendly and helpful. peaceful and quiet compared to club solaris where we stayed week before. food good and reasonable price.

Nice hotel real close to beach

This hotel is nice like the way you are greated and make you feel welcome. Would be nice if they could get their ac fixed before they stick you in a room that doesnt work.. That was the only down fall.

The AC unit was broken in the room and it took the staff a long time to move us after the people staying in the adjoining room tried to enter our room multiple times. The next morning a maid entered our room while we were sleeping and demanded to know who we were, as the front of house had not updated the guest log, so I think she was expecting the room we were moved to to be vacant. Also, we got a nail in one of the tires of our rental car from the construction site across from the hotel front desk. Will not be staying there again.

Close to airport and quiet surrounding

Posted Jul 11, 2015
We really enjoyed our stay at Be Air. Everyone was really friendly and polite. During some parts of the day it's a little noisy due to hotel construction which is unavoidable when a hotel is expanding. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. We didn't experience any problems during our stay.

It's the little things that hurt the experience

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Bus stop to Cabo San Lucas in front of the hotel, safe and quiet location, reasonably close to the airport, speedy room service, nice pool.
Cons: A/C needs to work all the time, add more authentic Mexican food to the menu, let people get in line for check-in, add a few fans to the lobby.
Location: Nearby supermarket (1 mile away), Cabo San Lucas 20 minutes by bus (runs until 11 p.m., 30-40 pesos per ride, very safe and convenient).
The hotel is nice, located in San José del Cabo, a much calmer location than Cabo San Lucas, but only a short (20 minutes) bus ride away, which was convenient. When we arrived at the hotel, we were asked to sit in the lobby while we waited for the receptionist to be ready to check us in. This would have been very nice, except that they allowed someone else to cut in front of us, which is very annoying if you're sweaty and tired after a long flight. After they checked us in, they left us waiting for a bellboy to take our luggage and show us to our room (they wouldn't give us the key, we could've taken our stuff on our own) until Alberto (don't know his last name) the guy who received us in the first place, did it (he was very customer oriented and actually helped us a lot). On arrival at the room, the A/C was out and remained so for the rest of the trip. That's a big issue at a beach hotel, the room had a fan that kept it reasonably cool, but again, you expect these things to work all the time. Our room, not sure if all of them, suffered from a significant design flaw in that, even if it was on the second floor, people would walk outside our window on the way in and out of their rooms, and they would invariably peek (people being people), so you either kept your privacy by keeping the curtains closed or avoided walking out of the shower without being fully dressed. Room service was always on time and very courteous, food was ok. Pool was nice, right in front of the beach.

Good location & friendly service oriented staff!

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: THe rooms, staff, restaurants, food, pool, beach, SPA!
Cons: Gym could improve. Add water bottles, mats and towels for guests.
Location: Nearby MEGA (its like a walmart) and starbucks, walking distance to a Deli, Smoothie place, restaurans , a cool little bar run by Pedro the bartender!
Loved our stay at Bel Air in San Jose , Los Cabos. It is strategically located in San Jose, walking disntance to San Jose del Cabo (not Cabos San Lucas!) shopping and restaurants and only a $7 USD cab ride to the downtown area of San Jose, which is a more laid back, not party central, area of town. We rode the local bus back adn foprth to places and to Cabo San Lucas twice, and it is VERY safe, so do not be afraid to venture out into the world and become one of the locals! Mexican locals are super friendly adn SUCH nice human beings. They don't bite, I PROMISE! :) The bus ride into Cabo San Lucas is 30 mins long, and it only costs $35 Mexican Pesos (~$3USD or less) versus a $35USD cab ride!!! Cabo San Lucas is nice during the day to hang out, go shopping, do a tour (we did the romantic Sunset Sail which I highly recommend) , go to the local pebaches, and have a drink or two. The night life is HAPPENING! It truly does turn into party central, very clubby, so if that is not your thing or you have the kiddies vacationing with you, avoid San Lucas at night. Overall, we had an AMAZING time. The weather was super nice too, every single day we were there, not one cloudy nor rainy day. We lucked out! We will definitely be back. Next time with the kids, it is a very kid friendly town and hotel as well.

Check the security of your room.

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Location
Location: Try Cynthia's organic restaurant behind La Mega in San Jose. It was the best food we ate on the whole trip.
The overall experience was lackluster. The room we rented was not anything like the plush rooms shown on the website. There were no luxury linens, bathrobes or even regular clean towels. The furniture was old. Items like ibuprofen and instant coffee were stolen from our room. Construction workers present whistled and hollered at ladies walking by the hotel lobby. The pool was malfunctioning and the water was filled with hair, bugs and styrafoam. The bedroom window was tampered with on the second day of our trip, having had the lock cut out of it. We were required to give a $6000 pecos deposit upon arrival, even after having paid for our entire stay in advance.

Amazing pool and ocean view!

Posted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: Clean, nice mini in-room kitchen, good food, great pool bar, solid Wifi
Cons: Faster service at restaurants and bars
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bel Air for a fun, getaway weekend. We went for the all inclusive deal, and we "spent" about as much money as we would have if we had been paying as we went. Tipping isn't included but all the food you can eat and all the booze you can drink is included! Hotel staff spoke English fairly well Wifi was good Food and drink were delicious There was some construction going on nearby, but it wasn't too much of a distraction from the weekend :) Overall, great time!
