Hotel has pros and cons

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The grounds were well-kept, the pool was nice and so was the hotel beach. Room was big and nice with ocean view.
Cons: Had to listen to sales pitch by annoying and rude employee before we were allowed to get to our room upon arrival. Lobby should have fans or A/C.
Location: Short car ride to San Juan del Cabo. Big Mega supermarket very short car ride. Located on the beach, but no swimming due to rough waves.
Our room was nice, service personal in general friendly. Sales pitch by rude employee even before we got to our rooms ruined our first impression of this place. Not many activities offered, only discovered the gym on our last day because it wasn't mentioned anywhere. We didn't like that you had to get your car valet parked all the time. Breakfast was good but overpriced. We were lucky with our room, but there are many rooms that get a lot of traffic noise or people walking by the window.

Dear Mary Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. Two of our main strengths are: The location, just right in front of the ocean and our very kind and helpful staff, which I am proud to lead. We would be waiting for your next visit, hoping to have the opportunity to show you, our cuisine style in any of our three restaurants, directly by our Chef Best Regards, Armando Ortiz General Manager Bel Air Resort & Spa Los Cabos

Nice Hotel by the Beach in San Jose del Cabo

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: They have 3 restaurants and a bar in the swimming pool. They have their own beach and have beds and chairs to relax there!
Cons: The front desk didn't tell me the free amenities and found out on my own or the bell boys! The free desserts need to improve. Not family oriented
Location: The Mega store, Starbucks, are very close. Across is an Apple Bees Rest. The Dolphins Activity is 5 Min away. Downtown is very close too.
This hotel welcomes you with a glass of champagne and warm towels. The hotel is clean and nice by the beach. The staff is very friendly. Nachito one of the bell boys is very friendly and always offering help in anything you need. Aaron is another bell boys that helps you with anything you need. Alan the bar tender in the swimming pool bar is a very nice guy and makes really good drinks. He made really great smoothies for my 10 year old daughter. Mitch in the office is a really nice guy too. He can help with reservations for any activity you want to do. The hotel offers some amenities that I really like. Early morning they offer a free continental breakfast. In the afternoon they have a free Tea and cookies and Champagne Hour. At night time they turn on a fire so you can roast marshmellos. You have to buy them thought. Also every night they bring free small desserts to your room. Some cakes are not so good but the intention is great!

Great place

Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: everything
Cons: room furnishing's
Location: Close to everything.
My partner and I recently stayed at the Bel Air. We had no idea what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The staff was amazing. We were always greeted with a smile. Every single one of them worked so hard no matter what the job. Our room was quiet, beds were comfortable, room was always clean and every night we came home to tasty dessert morsels. YUM!!! We had a room with a kitchette which was great. We did however eat in the restaurant and really enjoyed our meal. We went to happy hour a couple of time so that we can try the 2 for 1 margarita's, so delicious especially the mango with spicy rim and also the tamarind. This place is not the Ritz but the staff and the atmosphere make this place a 5 star hotel. We will be back to visit Abraham, Ignacio (Nacho), Aaron, Lupita, Luis and the rest of the staff very soon.

Pros: The service
Cons: No views for hotel guests. Seemed to be only for time share.
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Most memorable was the staff. Ever helpful and pleasant we were greeted and cared for by all. I am celiac and the manager of the restaurant had a special dish created to meet our needs. Well done!

Don't judge a book by its name

Horrible! Coffee is only complimentary the first night. They charge for each additional coffee. The nightly petite dessert was disgusting. A chocolate dipped marshmallow with rainbow sprinkles is hardly appetizing! The gym is a joke a dew pieces of cheap cardio equipment facing about 4 ft. From a wall. The hot tub was barely warm. I had no water pressure in the shower 1 morning. They won't be able to get your reservation without your confirmation number. They approached all these issues with a "well, I'm sorry, but that's just how it goes" sort of attitude. Not a great first time to Mexico experience
