No frills but well worth the money
Posted Jan 24, 2013
Pros: Price
Location: In the part of town where the locals live
No frills hotel - it has everything you need though ! A/c, Internet, a fridge, a secure parking lot. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have every slept on! If it had a pool I would have given it 4 stars

For what you pay per night it's OK

First impression when the shuttle dropped us off was hotel was nice but neighborhood a bit iffy. Quick check in where you are handed remotes to a/c and TV along with room key. Get to room and was pleasantly surprised. Large, king bed and twin in room. Clean. Large shower with good hot water. A/C worked great plus there was a fan in the room. Safe in wardrobe closet which is a great thing to have. We definitely used that. TV was old but who cares. Your not in Cabo to watch TV right? Funny side note...the local news was Seattle news which was funny since we are from the Pacific NW. Bed was a little hard for our taste but we survived. Pillows were great. No phone in room but free WIFI (you get the password from front desk). Daily room service. They only give two towels and one wash cloth so we did request one more wash cloth. Towels were very nice. Location is about 4-5 blocks off marina so you are close to everything and within walking distance to Hard Rock, Cabo Wabo, The Wyndham, the marina, the mall. I mentioned our first impression was neighborhood was iffy but we always felt safe to be out past dark. Take a left out of hotel lobby and go down 1-2 blocks on left is the best taco stand ever!! I can't remember the name but all the tables are covered in orange table cloths. A shrimp taco for 20 pesos!! Cheap and oh so good!!

Clean, cheap, and safe.

I had a wonderful stay. Very clean hotel for the price, I was very surprise. It is located in a residential area with small restaurants. Out of all the high priced and resort restaurants, my favorite was 2 blocks away in a small restaurant the had the best fresh fish tacos in the world. Cabo Cush is a perfect location for a family or single person, like me, on a budget, but yet very, very, nice.

For the price, can't beat it

Staying at the Cabo Cush was ideal for it's location. However, if you are not a seasoned Mexico traveler the location may be a bit scary. The hotel is situated in the residential area of Cabo San Lucas. Dogs barking, trucks motoring down the road and neighborhood noises occurring at all hours. The hotel location is a mere 5 blocks from Laraza Cardenas and the main area of Cabo, which is where I wanted to be near. The bed was comfortable, but the door locks were a bit sketchy - using the key to lock from the inside and not all had any additional lockability. The room had a refrigerator which was a bonus, but only full size bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. The room was very clean and large. Check in was a breeze, however not secure. I only showed my reservation print out & was given keys. No ID required. All in all, for the one night, it was not bad. But if you are looking for a quiet location with a little more security I would not choose this hotel. If you are looking to save money & want to be close to downtown Cabo, I would highly recommend The Cabo Cush Hotel.

Walking Distance to Marina

This hotel is more the feel and setup of a Hostel. Very friendly service, not a lot of English speakers, but they understand enough. Bed was hard, but sheets and towels were clean, room was clean with a TV with many channels. Private parking in the rear was nice; in a little sketchy neighborhood, but only a few blocks from the main stretch and the marina. We walked everywhere and it wasn't far at all. No pool, but AC and a fan; so it was comfortable and a good low price for a short stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the Cabo Cush. Can't beat the price, and the room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It's nothing fancy but it's in a great location and has everything you need. The A/C in our room was effective, the shower had unlimited hot water (as far as I could tell). Would stay here again.

Good for the price

Pros: The price
Cons: The room was just o.k. I like to read and there was no lamps by the bed, so I had to get out of bed to turn off the room light.
Location: Close to restaurants, the marina and the beach.
The place was nice for the price. One thing that I did not like was the smell coming out of the shower drain. I had to keep the bathroom close because the smell was quite strong.

Very fun way to experience Cabo. This hotel is five small blocked up from the main drag. It feels like a whole different country. Local taco stands and friendly locals. Easy checkin process and great staff. Very comfy rooms and beds. Beautiyl tile work and new building. I would recommend this hotel and will visit again. You will not be Disappointed! Thanks Cabo Cush

Cabo Cush was great

My wife found Cabo Cush by internet search, and we were very pleased with the price and the clean, modern amenities. The front desk staff / reception was very friendly, helpful, and attentive to all our needs. Free WiFi was available (awesome!), something we're presently paying for at a high-end resort. We'd highly recommend Cabo Cush to any budget traveler.
