Cons: It's impossible to avoid time share discussions...would be a better visit if you could.
The hotel is in the perfect location: right on the *swimmable* beach, within 2 blocks of several amazing restaurants (Edith's was my favorite). Staff was accommodating and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Recent visit to CaboPosted Nov 18, 2014
Location: Everything is close. Marina, shopping, bars etc. Slight downhill on the way to town, means a slight uphill on way back-but easy to do and safe road.
This is our third trip to Cabo and our third stay at Casa Dorada. We love the location and the resort which is obviously why we go there. If you like to stay busy and don't want to have to take a cab anywhere-this is the place. The Mango Deck and The Office provide excellent meals and entertainment-especially on cruise ship days. However that being said it is also a louder environment. Fortunately for Casa Dorada, but unfortunately for us, the resort was the location of the Mexican Film Festival. The party didn't start until 11PM and didn't end until 3AM! Very loud, right under our window. The manager was very apologetic, but they didn't inform any of the guests about it. There were a lot of kids on that side this year and they were really unhappy, Overall-I still love Casa Dorada and would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was basically untouched by hurricane Odile!Posted Nov 9, 2014
The hotel has cleaned up to the point that you can't tell they had a hurricane. It is close enough to walk anywhere in Los Cabos! The morning Starbucks was great! The facilities were awesome, as well as the staff!

Luxury meets convenience in CaboPosted Nov 4, 2014
From the moment my gf and I stepped on the property, we felt a tremendous sense of hospitality. Immediately upon check in, we were handed complimentary welcome drinks. From that instance until check out, the staff made it a point to address us by name and always with a friendly smile. To our surprise, our room turned out to be more of a luxury villa, with 2 large balconies and breathtaking views of the bay/arch. The pool area is very spacious and features an awesome swim-up bar. Only a few steps below the pool area is the hotel's private access to the beach. Full service is offered both poolside and beach-side (highly recommend the shrimp nachos). The afternoon of my birthday the staff sent out a Tres Leches cake and sang Happy Birthday as we lounged by the pool. Little details like this will keep us coming back for years. Overall, the resort is in a perfect location--prime for beach activities plus walking distance to all major tourist spots. The property is incredibly well-kept, amenities are world-class, and the entire staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is memorable.

My Expectations were ExceededPosted Nov 3, 2014
Location: Mango Deck, The Office, Edith's, Bar Esquena - The location is great!
We travel to the Cabo area several times a year but due to the hurricane I had to find a different hotel. Casa Dorada greatly exceeded my expectations. The staff was great. The beach area was nice. The pool area was excellent. The restaurants were quite good. The rooms were the best we have had. Very large and very nice! Best of all is the location. Normally we take a cab daily while in the area but with The Office, Edith's and many other great places close by, there was no need.

Pick This One!!Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Beautiful and well maintained. The staff is FANTASTIC!! Leo, the General Manager, was a strong leader.
Cons: A do-over vacation w/o a hurricane??
I was at this hotel when the hurricane hit dead on 9/14/2014! As horrific as that was, I was well taken care of by everyone on the hotel. No one was negative. They always were upbeat & positive. And even with limited resources, they always offered to do more. My birthday was 3 days after the hurricane and even though there was absolutely no where to go, the staff surprised me with a twinkie with a fireworks candle on it and two suckers!! And a beautiful serenade of 'Happy Birthday' in Spanish!! They were the Silver Lining through a traumatic situation.

Cool, clean, great pools, great service, beautifulPosted Sep 3, 2014
Service was great! Location - walking distance to many restaurants, night clubs and bars. Great for the little ones or teenager-college ones . Excellent waterfront area and services, the beach is great for swimming, stand up paddle-surf. Very reasonable prices and good quality food. Friendly staff. The spa is overpriced for Mexico. Get a massage at the beach for $30/h. I stayed there with my hubby and our kids of 2.5 and 4.5 yo- plus another tw o couples, one of them has a 17yo and a 22yo . Perfect vacation!

Located on a nice spot and close of everythingPosted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Cleanness, quietness, excelent location and employees courtesy.
Cons: Knocking on the door at night could be eliminated.
Location: Very well located with a walking distance to downtown, convenience stores, restaurants, rides, etc
Recommend Casa Dorada to everyone. We had a blast. Very clean place, friendly EE's, nice pool, nice pool service and resoanable prices. Location is awesome! Only a downside to me was the beach water gets deep very quickly and it is hard to enjoy the beach, for those that does not know how to swim, other than that is perfect. Definitely will be back and can't wait!
