Well worth it!!

Excellent hotel, staff is very friendly and the food (buffet) is delicious. I'll be back to this hotel on my next trip to Cabo

Nice hotel, staff worked hard. Only suggestion is improvement of food quality. Especially at dinner, breakfast & lunch were fine. Sometimes you had to wait a bit for service at meals but not too bad. Reasonable priced. For the money I would recommend again. Phone in our room didn't work.

Not a lot to do

The food was not the best and with only 2 restaurants, the choices were limited. The hotel did not have any entertainment. During the day, relaxing by the pool was your only option. At night, there was nothing going on. After dinner your only choice is to go to bed. The room itself was nice and comfortable, but for an all inclusive resort, it lacked a lot of things I am use to seeing.

Pretty good for the money.

Pros: Everyone was very helpful.
Cons: For the most part, the all inclusives did not allow tipping. There was way too much "expected" tipping going on.
Location: Nice walk to San Jose.
I really liked it a lot except I felt as though the food options were all the same. After a week, the same ole same ole got a little tiring.

This hotel is magnificent

Pros: Everything. The food, the staff, the pools, the beach.
Cons: Both of us honestly have no negative comments about this resort.
Location: The location is amazing! You are away from busy San Lucas but there are so many tours you can book in San Lucas with round trip transportation.
I stayed here with a friend for our "spring break". We didn't know what to expect since we have never been to Mexico and having read negative reviews about the hotel construction ect. The staff at this resort are superb! We have never been treated so kind! Every day the amazing housekeepers tidied up our room while we were out having a blast. Oh yeah, not to mention they upgraded our room! We booked garden view but ended up with a breath taking ocean view!

Decent budget hotel

All in all, I would describe the Holiday Inn as a decent budget hotel. I was a bit disappointed by the service we received during meals. We would often be sitting at a table for over 15-20 minutes before someone would come up to ask if we would like something to drink. There was also construction going on at the property next to us, so we were frequently woken up by a table saw which was going all day (so no siestas for us!). We were in building 2 so if you are in that building it may be worth asking for a different room. The pools and drinks were great though, so no complaints there. Food was decent, nothing spectacular. The fish tacos at the restaurant by the ocean were fantastic!

The food at the hotel was sub par. There was also not enough staff to accommodate the people currently staying at the hotel. I expected more from the Holiday Inn as it is a fairly standardized international chain.

Great Hotel

Pros: The rooms and pool
Cons: needs a late night bar for music and dancing
My wife and I stayed for a week in March with two other couples. The place is beautiful we had 3 of the ocean front rooms. All of the staff was very nice. The food was great! They had a show every night at 7:00 for about an hour. Those were also good. Only negatives for us were no bars open till 10:00 am so no early Bloody Mary's and not enough bar tenders when they were open so waited for drinks sometimes. They also need a late night place for music and dancing. As a whole we are already talking about going back it was GREAT!!

Pros: Layout easy to get around. Everything seems close by. Omar at Grey Line. Isaac the waiter
Cons: More authentic Mexican music at the pool. The quality of the pizza at the ala carte lunch. Dessert selection at dinner buffet. Post poolside events
Location: Thursday's art walk. Shopping
Relaxing days spent poolside, evenings in the dining area chatting with friends. Downtown just a 20 minute walk time to enjoy Thursday's art walk. Long walks along the amazing beach

Grounds good. Staff helpful. Room small, but clean. Food mediocre. Not cheap or easy to get to the main town area.
