Pros: Lovely staff. Beautiful, though remote location.
Cons: Be nice if there were hot showers. But cold showers were ok.
Location: This area is for fishermen.
It was a colorful but isolated resort. Mainly for fisherman and people that want to hang out poolside.

Nice hotel on the beach. Great food and service.

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: The beautiful pool and view. Also the food and restaurants.
Location: The hotel is located in town and on the beach. Rent a quad to get around. Also go to to Lazy Daze outdoor beach bar and play some volleyball.
We had a wonderful time. Beautiful pool and swim up bar. Great restaurants and service with fabulous food. The hotel staff was very helpful getting us Quad rental to get around town and along the beach. It's a small town and we weren't sure what to expect. It was a pleasant surprise. Also a must to visit just down the beach is a beach bar with volleyball called Lazy Daze!

Pros: This is the best hotel in the area with all the comforts of a first rate hotel in an off the beateb path location. The seaside location is gorgeous.

Quiet, friendly spot along the Sea of Cortez

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: Friendly, calm and quiet
Cons: A few more activities
Location: Drove to La Paz, through the mountains and to beaches
Very nice, quiet spot; the breakfast room has a beautiful view, as does the lunch and dinner restaurant. A nice break from Los Cabos!

nice resort type hotel right on the beach

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: right on the beach
Cons: Bottled water in room and coffee pot in room
Location: fishing good; did not seeing anyone swimming there...hmm
No bottled waters in room; no coffee pot in room; USD exchange rate there was 13/1 vs 14/1. Also the hotel is doing construction there (adding rooms) and VERY loud starting at 730 am. Pool was cold too.

Nice beachfront hotel

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: The beach!
Cons: The beds and bedding; hot water!
Location and beach were great. Rooms were a good size but beds and bedding were very basic. Our group had 4 rooms and some never had hot water. Our room had hot water in the afternoon, not morning. Restaurants and bar served good food/drinks for a good price.

room with water view

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Excessive early (6:30) morning noise from A) construction and B) housekeeping staff as well as C) late night (1:30 am) band music. Problems getting hot water in morning. All of the noise issues totally preventable and should have been. Would not return.

A nice hotel in a rural beach setting.

Posted Mar 5, 2015
Pros: The relaxed quiet setting.
Cons: The hotel is an older hotel but they are keeping it maintained.
Location: You can go on boat rides, ride quads.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Palmas de Cortez. The room was nice, the beds comfortable. We had an upstairs room with a little patio overlooking the pool and the ocean. The food at the hotel was good and did not break the bank. It was really relaxing to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cabo San Lucas & even the smaller but still busy San Jose Del Cabo. I would recommend this hotel. It is not over the top, but it is nice, decent, and comfortable and the staff were great. The room was just as it appears in the photos.
