Food quality poor really nice hotel staff nicePosted Mar 4, 2014
Food quality for all inclusive was poor.. Lots of options for food just tastes awful.. Needs to focus on less food and more quality of preparation.. Great pool, staff super nice, service was great.. Gym was wonderful.. Great place to stay.. Just make sure you tell them the alcohol you want and how much before them making your drink.. Otherwise very cheap with alcohol

Great property and Club Premium.Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Just about everything. This was our first experience since the hotel changed from Barcelo to Hyatt. We will be returning.
Cons: More consistent room clean-up with more attention to "clean room early" sign. More attention to all diners in the specialty restaurants.
Pool staff was exceptional, especially Adrian. He provided lounges and umbrellas at our chosen location at the pool. Poolside food and drink service were also exceptional. Great gym, followed by breakfast buffet on the patio. Wait staff, Fabian and Laguardo, were without equal. Nicest guys imaginable. Dinner restaurant food was marvelous, wait staff iffy. Lotus staff, Felix and Angel, were the exception; as was Carlos in the French Restaurant. They were all most attentive. Room cleaning was also iffy. One day, not done until called in the late afternoon. Didn't always leave coffee packages for in room coffee without asking. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Self-serve water was eventually well provided.

We enjoyed our stay. It was excellent.Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: I liked the adult area, it was quiet and more privet. The pool was warm and not crowded.
Cons: They could improve on protein foods for people with special diets like Vegetarians, people with milk allergies. Meat dishes and cheese was plentiful.
Location: You could go fishing, booting, whale watching, bus tours, or just walk along the beach.
The evenings felt cosy and warm, when the fire pits were lit and people sat around it in comfortable chairs. They try very hard to please everybody by the selection of food they put out at every meal. The salad bar was excellent. Fresh fruit was always on display too. Whole grain bread would be good to add to the breakfast menu instead having white bread and buns.

Great first time all-inclusive experience!Posted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Ocean access, pools, bonfire seating areas, daily activities, friendly staff and restaurants choices.
Cons: A few room improvements, check the light bulbs and door locks.
Location: Despite Los Cabos and Cabo San Lucas being known as a party, noisy location San Jose del Cabo side was relaxing so you get the best of both worlds.
As it was our first time to visit Mexico and also to try an all-inclusive, the Hyatt Ziva lived up to our expectations. It was easy and comfortable living for the four days we were there. Wonderful and friendly hotel staff were always willing to accommodate. What a great location, the pools and the beach/ocean view were all part of the many perks this resort had to offer. We would love to visit it again and we have already recommended it to many friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Not so goodPosted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Where it was
Cons: New front staff and better restaurants they don't have any sit down lunch spots
Location: Close to town only seven dollar ride.
Rude staff and half of them don't know what the other half are doing. One says one thing and the other says no don't listen to them that's not right then you never get what you need ( A cabana) and they try to bill you later. Food not so good!

Beautiful hotel and servicePosted Feb 28, 2014
The service was absolutely wonderful. The food was very fresh and tasted amazing! For a foodie, I couldn't have been more happy with the specialty restraunts. The buffet was your standard buffet, although breakfast was outstanding. Perfect place to relax on a vacation. The view was magnificent and if you get a chance to go during the whale migration, even they put on a show in the morning.

A 6 Day StayPosted Feb 28, 2014
Pros: Room were spacious - really very nice. Ground and pool were well maintained and spectacular. Staff were nearly all courtious and wanting to please.
Cons: Food was just ok. Buffet- typical. Japanese restaurant was disappointing, sushi was average, yakisoba-yuck! Steak restaurant poor quality beef.
Location: Bus rides to San Jose and Cabo are an adventure -cheap and the get you there. Save you booze etc. buys for Duty Free at airport - its cheaper.
First time in Mexico and an all inclusive. Didn't know what to expect. Lots of pool time, used the gym, restaurants. Asked for a 2 hr. late checkout- would have cost $300 dollars. What a disappointment with a other wise generous hotel. Pools were nice to look at but the largest one is not heated. Pretty much just a looker.

Good for young people that want to partyPosted Feb 28, 2014
Cons: Sound level
If what you want is to go and relax by the beach, this may not be the place you want to stay out. Incredibly loud, everywhere, until late. Blasting music from different areas in the hotel. If you're in your 20s and in party mood you'll love it. If your not, find a different place to stay. Restaurants half empty and yet they let us know that they didn't have a table for us for another hour. Guys working at the taco restaurant were wonderful but maitre'd at the Japanese restaurant was very rude. Others ok.

The grounds are well kept. Beach is nice to layoutPosted Feb 26, 2014
We were put in a outdated room and the staff refused to move us. Food is more than horrible. We ate out after the first night. Great food around the old town of San jose. Room service takes about an hour to get with a very limited menu that is not worth the wait. I would not go back to this resort.
