This is our 2nd visit because we enjoyed our first one so much.
Enjoyed our stay as much if not more
The hotel pools are excellent....downstairs for lanes and roof top for spending the day.....but also have the beach club for ocean swimming, paddle boarding and again spending the day.
They have introduced a new menu which was excellent...good mix of Mexican cuisine along side more regular fare

"Great Hotel - lots of good - a few things to know."
The hotel ans staff are fantastic. The food is improved and great. The drinks fabulous. The only thing I didn't really like is that they let folks from Playa Grande and Solmar use their pools now. I know the Hurricane Odile damaged all three properties, but this is overloading Grand Solmar Pools. I also know GS has 3 pools that were destroyed. If you didn't get a chair early, you didn't get a chair. Drinks and food take a lot longer with the over-load too. It went from relaxing and quiet to kid crazy and over loaded. The hotel itself makes up for the pools not being what they used to be. Just know that if you are going for the relaxing pool experience you may miss what Grand Solmar used to be.

Location was beautiful, scenery and views were unequaled to anything we have experienced before. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous - and our personal concierge attended to our every need. This trip will most likely be the one that stands out in our memories. Hats off to all we encountered!
