“Our stay at Mar Bella was very special indeed”

The weather was unique as I never experienced so much rain in Baja this time of year. The groundsmen were always drying up the walkway or seeing that the way was safe. The plants and trees added to the feel of a sub tropic vacation and the promise of a serene stay teased us with the sounds of crashing waves from the private beach. The use of the chairs and tables and the proximity of the bar and pool was a luxury we made use of. The pool I really enjoyed, it was heated due to the weather so I was in shear delight. Our baby daughter has good memories now with pools. The staff was especially attentive carefully offering to help in anyway, something my wife commented on. I much enjoyed the sounds of the nighttime, the sounds of the crickets and waves upon the shore soothed as I listened to the night as I ready for a good night sleep. I was one of the few who had a car to drive during our stay and parking was a breeze I must say, I made a joke to my party and said this was my private parking spot, we had the same spot for the four days. We enjoyed a breakfast at the restaurant and found it very enjoyable, our meal was quite good. One of our party made use of the gym area and was able to do a simple workout. I do want to return with my parents for this visit was with in-laws, I liked it so much I now intend to get my parents down to baja and to Mar Bella in particular to enjoy what I had. I want to invite my mom and dad.

Clean, convenient, affordable hotel carved into a unique rock formation right on the ocean. Great food, reasonably priced bar, helpful and professional staff. The pool area, gardens, gym, business center and beach area were perfect. Great margaritas! They even had free wi-fi and phone calls to the United States. See Lillian, the concierge with any issues- very gracious.

“Our tenth anniversary celebration!!!”

I was a hesitant at first about the hotel itself mainly for being so cheap. But it was amazingly awesome. We got our every penny worth. The beach was really private. Best pool and the poolside bar was awesome too. Their restaurant had the best food. More over all the public area had the best view of ocean as if you were right on the sand. Hot tubs, massage place, swimming pool, restaurant, poolside bar, cigar lounge everything was right on the sand. We saw the hotel staff was always cleaning and making sure of things are clean and guests are happy and if we needed anything. Staff did not even wait for getting tip. I am definitely going there back again.

My husband and I went to Marbella Suites in June and on the way home we were already planning a return trip which we just made (January). Marbella is a small hotel (40 rooms) which is what first appealed to us. It is right on the Sea of Cortez and is a beautiful location. We did not rent a car, but used the local bus. For $1.50 you could ride to San Jose del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas-two small towns about 20 minutes on either side of Marbella. The staff is friendly and helpful. They helped us to book a snorkling/kayaking trip and a horse ride on the beach. The food is wonderful and reasonable. For a relaxing time, go to Marbella Suites.

“Sweet beachfront older hotel....”

Lovely setting. peaceful. Great wide beach for this small hotel and a couple timeshares. Lots of steps. Far from town and taxi expensive. Bus ok on 50 mph road out front during day but missed our stop at night.. No stove in kitchen so limited cooking (some units may have them). basic food at onsite restaraunt. has specials. i would look for good pricing here and occupancy is down all over Cabo and then had steep price drops in December. Al in all a good deal for the money. Clean comfortable with perfect beach and weather.

“Great Deal! Very Quiet! Ultra Friendly Staff”

The staff was so friendly I felt like staying there instead of moving on to the big expensive hotel I was booked at later that week. The food is simple, but delicious. Overall, a great deal. You get a lot for the price.

“A Find”

The rooms are large and the staff is friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed with a virtually private beach and lovely pool,bar and hot tub area overlooking it. We had a car which made it easy to go to both Cabo San Lucas and Los Cabos as well as beaches that are just off a dirt road. There is a snorkeling beach approximately one mile from the hotel. There is a bus stop there but the car was worth the expense as we went to beaches and restaurants during the day and the nightlife in Cabo. Our refridg did not work and it was replaced the next day. This is an older hotel which is beautiful but is a little tired. In return you get large rooms, kitchenette, personal attention, and excellent prices.

“Needs a little updating.”

The place is nice. The location is great. The thing that bothered me was there were no toaster but there was a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.There was a gap under the hotel room door. The ocean was very rough here and not so further towards Los Cabos. Children would never be able to do anything but go in the pool because of the surf and undertow.The pool was nice and there is a bar and restaurant at the hotel.We would return because the price was right and it is clean and nicely landscaped. There are lots of stairs so you can not stay here if you have trouble with stairs.
