Beautiful hotel and amazing staff

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Delicious food & drinks, easy beach access, safe & clean, amazing hospitality
Cons: Everything was great. I've never been treated so well at a hotel. Service was beyond amazing.
Location: Hotel is about 25 mins from downtown but if you want to do any activities they offer them on site which is easy. Extremely family friendly.
This was absolutely the best family vacation we have ever taken. The staff at the Melia were beyond amazing. They make you feel so comfortable that you can't wait to go back. Service is everything. Everyone from the lobby staff, cleaning staff, the bartenders, the staff serving drinks at the pool, the different restaurant staff, to the girls at the kids club made our experience perfect. We really can't thank them enough for their hospitality. My daughter is 1.5 and the girls at the kids club played with her so much and made her feel right at home. She loved going there everyday. They also have cool activities at the pool everyday like Zumba class and volleyball which was a lot of fun. The safe and friendly family ambience was everything to us. Also I have to give a big shout out to Horacio at the Palapa restaurant for being such an awesome excellent server. He attended us so well on our last day it was hard to leave.

Relaxing family-friendly resort

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Welcoming staff greated us with a welcome drink. Explained the layout and ammenities in detail. Room was very clean. Light switch controls all overhead lights or none; no lamps available. No turndown service available in evening. Allowed to swim in private beach area unlike other resorts; although does not offer bar beach service. Pool is gigantic and shallow throughout its entirety with a swim-up bar. Very family oriented. Food in buffet and a la carte restaurants was very delicious. All staff outdid themselves in trying to please each guest. Definitely not a party place; which was a plus for us, but many elected to go into town for entertainment in the evening. Plan on returning with entire family during whale migration season in the winter months between December and early March. Husband went sea fishing booked on site with Gray Line (affiliated with Expedia) and caught an 80 lb. marlin.

Beautiful hotel in excellent location

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The beach area was nice and one could swim. The food was excellent.
Cons: Fix the pool table, install ceiling fans on the area where the pool table is located, clean the lights above the desert/ice cream table in the buffet.
Location: It's 15 minutes away from each city in Cabo (San Lucas and San Jose de Cabo). 10 minutes from medrano beach-lots of activities there. Parasailing, etc
We stayed at the hotel for a week and it was very nice and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stayed there and there was plenty of things to do. The hotel does need to clarify that they don't have kayaking on site. The pool table is really old and needs work. The area where the pool table is needs to have fans install on the ceilings because it's super hot in that area.

Wonderful Stay! Want to go back soon...

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Cons: The cleaning on the room: toothpaste spots on the mirror fixtures during all 6 days stay, night stand was not wiped at all. Bath tub too small.
Location: The location is amazing! Take the bus in front of the hotel to go to San Lucas (30 min) and enjoy the Medano Beach - clear water and fun!
First of all, the staff is terrific! They are hard workers and are smiling all the time. The hotel has an amazing structure. The restaurants are very clean and the food is really fresh! I cant wait to go back!

Great place to spend couple weeks to relax.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The staff, pool, and restaurants
Cons: free internet for everyone.
Location: the hotel is located between Cabo San Jose & Cabo San Lucas about 20 min from airport.
Overall we had a great experience for our 10 days getaway weeding anniversary. The hotel is an impressive 3.5- 4.0 star hotel, great pool, " great Ocean location" Sea of Cortez, the staff is one of the reason I choose to give this hotel an overall of 4 they were wonderful. hint: if you want to get free certificates for a variety of activities, by the airport on your left side once they pass all your baggage there is some people offering you free taxis and vouchers for activities, and all you have to do is go to a 90 minutes presentation for time shares you don't have to buy anything. is totally legal and you can save a least 400 - 600$. We got a great deal with Expedia first class tickets on our way back home amazing! we weren't expecting that...

Everything was excellent, except the room could use a remodel. Food, service, scenery and location was excellent. I would take my family again.

Great hotel- front desk staff, not so much

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: The grounds were beautiful and the food, surprisingly good for an all inclusive.
Cons: Fire the front desk staff, clean and restock rooms earlier than 4PM, don't charge so ridiculous a sum for Internet.
Location: Good surf at El Tule right down the road.
First off, don't ask me for a donation for Unicef when you're charging $45 for 3-days of Internet on two devices; you donate to Unicef with that ridiculous surcharge. The front desk staff is completely indifferent, if not bordering on rude. Next, 4 sodas and 3 waters for two people in the mini-bar of an all inclusive- that ain't makin' it, most particularly since they don't clean your room and restock the fridge until close to 5PM. The food was way better than expected and the resort itself is lovely.

Great vacation.

From the moment we stepped into the lobby it looked like Paradise. Landscape beautiful, views perfect. My only suggestion is to keep pool and hot tub opened longer.
