Paradise in ParadisePosted Nov 22, 2013
Cons: The only negative was the air conditioning unit in the hotel room, which though it worked fine was a bit on the loud side.
Location: San José del Cabo is a beautiful town with lots of great shops & restaurants. Cabo San Lucas for tour boats, so go for that, otherwise skip it!
I traveled with my family - a very pregnant wife and our almost three-year old son - and can't say enough good things about One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos. Upon arrival we were treated like royalty and though we had to wait through lunch for our room to be ready, the welcoming staff, beautiful hotel grounds and stunning weather (we got SO lucky, only one cloudy morning in five days!) our stay couldn't have been better. We were given an ocean view room that was very, very comfortable and staff made sure every detail was covered, including such things as a bottle sterilizer, bottle warmer, diaper genie (parents, you know what this is), and a high chair in the room just in case we might need them. We requested a microwave which was ready when we got our room and 24-hour butler service made sure any other request was promptly attended to. By far, the hotel's family swimming pool was the highlight for us and for our son, who LOVED it and finally felt confident enough to swim with his floaties on, although even if he hadn't, the shallow end of the pool is PERFECTLY PLANNED for little guys and we saw plenty of babies and younger toddlers enjoying just that area with their parents too. The swimmable beach is great, though a bit rough for my wife and son to swim in, I was able to take my son out on a complimentary kayak and there were plenty of sand toys to play with. We loved every minute of our stay and would return in a heartbeat!

Exceeded any expectations we had about the hotel!!Posted Oct 1, 2013
Location: Such an awesome resort you really don't want to go off property!!
This place was amazing. The most relaxing and romantic place we have ever been. The service is over the top! We were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday. We experienced the "Dining Under The Stars" and "Dining at The Point". Both were private dinners on the beach that were amazing! The set up was so special and we had our own private area and server! Both nights were so special in different settings and were the most special memories of a lifetime!!!

Nice hotel - expensive for food!!Posted Sep 29, 2013
Pros: I liked the view from the room, the staff and the bed was unbelievably comfortable!!
Cons: The food - this is the one major downfall of the resort. Prices are ridiculous and quality isn't even that great!
Location: Not much to do close by - but if you are looking for a nice resort with quality guests ( no rif-raff) then this is the place !
We spent four nights here in the beginning of Sept 2013. The hotel staff was very attentive. The only member of staff that wasn't so friendly was the driver who picked us up from the hotel - but other than that all other staff was great! always smiling! The food was WAY over priced for what it was. Not amazing at all. I have stayed at various 5 star hotels around the world and I think this one was the worst for food quality and taste. The fresh fruits that they leave you were not the best quality either and the afternoon snacks were pretty miniscule. The pool area is lovely ...and the grounds are beautiful. We had a lovely corner room with panoramic views of the ocean....the balcony with a bed was the best! Overall, I would probably give the hotel a 4/5.

Service, Quiet, ViewsPosted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: Service Quiet Plenty of chairs on the beaches or at either pool so you could sit where you wanted
Cons: Price of drinks was very high. $17-19 dollars for Margaritas and Mixed foo foo drinks. Beers were about $8. Felt like Paris.
Location: Location is secluded, but the beach toys include snorkel gear, kayaks, and SUPs.
Well, we just got back from a great experience here for a wedding anniverary. Probably the best service we've ever experienced. Very attentive staff at the pools - they look out for you. Cost per night was similar to Pebble Beach, Montage in Laguna Beach where we've stayed on previous anniversary's, but those other places are so large I don't think they can compete with the level of attention we received. We ate breakfast at the Market two days, room service one-day, and ate a few dinners at Agua since we wanted more casual dinners (outdoor). Paella, Lamb Tajine, Roasted Seabass were all very good (heard the chef is Moroccan). Good wine selection too. When we said it was a bit warm, they brought by a fan, outside! Actually, a lot of tables had fans nearby, so it wasn't unique to us. We traveled into Cabo San Lucas one day ($30 each way via taxi), and San Jose del Cabo one eve for a local Sushi dinner ($15 each way). When ever we responded to locals asking where we were staying, the looks were all the same - as in Wow, nice, you must be loving that. So the place has a great reputation, and we know why.

Excellent, 5 star resort!Posted Sep 11, 2013
We just came back from 4 nights at the One & Only Palmilla in Los Cabos. It was beyond our expections. My husband and I wanted to go somwhere nice for our 10 year anniversary. We researched a lot and narrowned down to a couple all inclusive & a couple non inclusive. We definitely made the right choice! Yes, it was expensive. But they had a special where you pay for three nights and get one night free. Our check out tab was steep, but it included a 80 min couple massage at the very nice spa. But we ate and drank well, every day at the resort. Two dinners at Suviche and one incredbly romantic dinner at Agua. We had the most perfect table at the Agua restaurant, overlooking the ocean. They had even customized the menu with our names at the top. The minute we arrived and checked in, we were greated wiht the highest level of service. All smiles and very professional staff. They had even upgraded our room without asking becuase it was low season and they weren't booked out. We had rented a car and stopped on the way to stock up one some wine, tequila and beer. We weren't sure if we can bring it, but the bellmen loaded everything up and brought it to our room. Then our 24 hours a day private butler "Armando" asked if we wanted an extra fridge for our beer! We said that would be great. So he rolled in another fridge to accommodate us bringing our own beverages. That was the icing of the cake! We would go back

Simply the best.Posted Aug 25, 2013
Cons: lower food and beverage cost.
The staff are amazing, the grounds are amazing, the views are spectacular. Every whim and desire is catered too. My only negative comment is that food and beverage is overpriced given the value that you can get outside of the resort. Highly recommend this resort and will look to return one day.
