Luxury hotel at affordable price!Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: The pools were fantastic!
Cons: Wi-fi connection, for sure.
Location: Close to the marina, the dolphin adventure center and downtown Cabo San Lucas.
We had a wonderful week at Playa Grande. The four pools more than made up for not being able to swim in the ocean. Great pools, fun activities, super service (at the pools and beyond). Our room was big and comfortable enough for five. Conveniently located - you can be in the center of town in a 10-15 minute walk. Only downside was the wi-fi. Access was expensive and even with access, the connections were really slow. We ended up getting some work done at a wi-fi- enable restaurant in the marina. All in all though we had a wonderful stay at Playa Grande.

Great location, nice facilities, great viewsPosted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: Location, views, facilities.
Cons: Wi-Fi to slow if you could connect at all and you had to pay for the crappy wi-fi, Food in the restaurant was ok, but not great and service was slow
Location: location is close to the Marina and close to many restaurants, bars, etc. Great beach views and you can see whales right out in front of the hotel
Pros were the location, facilities, staff and views Cons were the Wi-fi Unreliable, slow and you had to pay for the bad wi-fi, Just ok, were the food, and wait to get food at the restaurant, poolside they were quicker and friendlier, the fitness room was nice, but also had to pay a daily or weekly fee to use the facility

Loved our stay at the Playa Grande Resort. Friendly, helpful staff, always there to please. Entertainment and activity staff were excellent! Itsel, Umberto, and Luis were very nice, fun, professional, and made our stay feel special. Lots of fun activities to participate in, right on the property.

Awesome Stay!Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Close to downtown. Full kitchen which was super nice to have homemade meals.
Location: 5 minutes drive to Medona Beach and to downtown Cabo with lots of excellent taco stands.
We were pleasantly surprised with our room. Spacious, well-appointed with a full kitchen. We rented a car, but you can also walk downhill to downtown. Perfect location, nice ocean view. We will definitely come back!

All inclusivePosted Apr 12, 2015
We thought the hotel was all inclusive and didn't realize that it is all inclusive once you get there and have to purchase the meal plan. We thought the purchase of it on expedia already included the meals - it was very misleading.

Ahhhh!Posted Apr 12, 2015
We stayed at The Ridge. The room had a wrap around balcony with 4 sliders. The views were incredible up there- Pacific on one side/ Marina on other. Meal plan was a good deal for us-top notch food. At Puerto restrarant-DO NOT miss the accomplished pianist on the grand at dinner! Fiesta night was GREAT- loved the shows & food! If you are traveling without kids & you are not handicapped-stay at the Ridge! The construction noise did not affect us/ they were rebuilding an outdoor restaurant near the beach area. Staff was very professional & friendly! Wonderful Mexican hospitality!!! ****

Resort That Has EverythingPosted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: The location was perfect, just a short five minute walk to the marina and all the shops. The pools were our favorite thing!
Cons: The pool bar should be available until the pool closes so drinks and food are available for night swimmers.
Location: Within 5 minute walk to town, miniature golf at the resort, beach walking... endless things to do!
Playa Grande has everything you could possibly need to have the perfect Cabo vacation. There were four of us, two adults and two teenagers. Every one of us had the time of our lives! There are pools everywhere to relax and enjoy by, with plenty of pool staff to ensure you never go hungry or thirsty! We stayed a week and would have definitely liked to stay much longer.

Great hotel. Family approved!Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: Location, pools, reasonable prices, and amenities. Great that it had a kitchenette.
Cons: Only negative would be the WiFi, which was spotty and slow. Hard to even use for research on attractions, directions, etc.
Location: Beach, marina, and downtown Cabo are all within a short walk. Easy drive to some great snorkeling, as well.
Check-in: Only one short mention of their every-morning ‘become a member’ presentation that we never attended. Room: Luxury Suite, 1 Bedroom with a sofa bed and a Murphy bed that pulled out in building F. It was a little tight for 5 of us, but the Murphy bed was perfect for our youngest. Wouldn’t be great for teenagers. The view was amazing and looked out over the pool area with the beach and ocean in the background. Air conditioning worked well. Very clean. The kitchenette had a microwave, mid-size refrigerator, stove top, and pots and pans. Maid service cleaned each day, including whatever dishes we hadn’t washed ourselves. The left ‘towel art’ around the room, which the kids enjoyed finding. Pool: The kids loved the pools and variety. No water features, but there are three different areas with various depths, including 2 Jacuzzis (1 is adult only). We never had an issue with chairs although those right by the pool filled up by 9 or 10 with ‘placeholder’ towels. Pool Food & Drink: During happy hours (there are 2), drinks were very reasonable. 2 for 1 with morning drinks until noon and 2 for 1 with afternoon drinks from 2pm – 4pm. Virgin drinks were even cheaper for the kids. We had the tacos that they shave off a spit and make right there one afternoon. Beach: The beach is amazing. There were zero ‘salesmen’ offering their wares, which was really nice. And the sunsets… oh the sunsets. Amazing.
