No value for MoneyPosted May 3, 2015
The resort has all the facilitirs you would expect. Except for two main flaws. The internet is absolutely terrible and you cannot swim on the beach, it was always too dangerous.

Nice ResortPosted May 3, 2015
The hotel is very nice. It has a nice beach on Pacific Coast, where swimming is not allowed. The Ridge (Rooms on the hill) has an endless pool with ocewan and marina view. The construction (because of hurricane-damage) keeps going on in the pool area close to the beach side.

Beautiful hotel and very responsive friendly staffPosted May 2, 2015
We had a great stay at the Playa Grande. The facility was beautiful and nicely appointed. The only negatives that we experienced were our room was very far from the lobby and pool, so it was a long way to go, especially with luggage. The second negative is that our room faced the town and it was noisy until 5:00am.

Beautiful Resort Along the PacificPosted Apr 26, 2015
My boyfriend and I had a great time staying at this resort. We were initially concerned about its location, away from Medano Beach. We found the marina, downtown, and even Medano Beach to be within a walkable distance. It was so enjoyable to return from a loud and busy afternoon at Medano Beach to find a tranquil resort at night. Whether morning or night, the beach felt very private; no vendors. The beach along the resort is not swimable; however, a water taxi to a swimable beach can be easily arranged for approx. $12 to 15 US dollars. The only issue encountered with our room was the door lock. We had to slam our door in order for it to lock.

Ridge at Playa GrandePosted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: Location, staff
Cons: Time share presentation
Location: Downtown Cabo is an easy walk, as is the marina. Muchos taquerias buenas. Lover's beach is a short water taxi ride, or a semi-difficult rock climb
We were upgraded to the Ridge, which we had visited previously. Nicer views, quieter pools and rooms, a little better food at the restaurant. Staff throughout the resort was great, constantly trying to get people involved and trying to sell the events. Overall a great stay in a great resort, with a great location. If there is a negative, it was the timeshare presentation which went on and on with four waves of sales people who did not like to hear "no thank you" as an answer. We were promised multiple times that it would take 90 minutes and we could return to our vacation...3 hours later...

This hotel, by far, has exceeded my expectation. First, I'll start with the check-in process. It was smooth. I requested to be far away from the construction. My wish was granted. My husband and I were upgraded to stay in the luxury villa side. PERFECT! Being on this side I felt like a VIP. No mater what time of day it was, you could always find a chair by the pool or jacuzzi. I am strictly a beach person. I did not feel like I was missing out. We did not take advantage of the meal plan. As all of the prior guest stated, the hotel is right next to the marina, there is an OXXO conveinent store across the street, and Downtown is a very short walking distance. But the few times we did eat on the resort, we were never disappointed. The drinks were delicious and never watered down. The staff were always courteous. I really think they provide their staff with customer service lessons. A+! Lastly, I checked out the night before, Friday night, to avoid the long lines in the morning. I went through each line with the front desk agent and she explained everything to us. There was one charge that should not have been on the bill and she removed it as my husband an I did not attend the hotel event. my husband had repeatly stated, "When we return to Cabo, we will stay here"!

luxury hotel, nice pool, great foodPosted Apr 21, 2015
Location: Lots of restaurants and clubs nearby. I went with friends and we went to several different bars/clubs.
The hotel was better than I expected. Rooms are big and clean and modern. The resort is big with private access to beach. The view is fantastic. It is slightly away from the downtown area so it's quiet and exclusive, but still close enough to walk or a short cab ride to the downtown area. The hotel checks every car going in and out so I felt safe. The pools are awesome and I had the best fish taco at the resort. Overall, very pleased with this place. It is not all-inclusive but each unit comes with a full kitchen so we were able to make our own breakfast. They offer meal plan but I don't think it's worth the price. You are not going to eat at the hotel all day long, and even if you did, I don't think the meal plan is a better value unless you really like to drink.

Luxury hotel at affordable price!Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: The pools were fantastic!
Cons: Wi-fi connection, for sure.
Location: Close to the marina, the dolphin adventure center and downtown Cabo San Lucas.
We had a wonderful week at Playa Grande. The four pools more than made up for not being able to swim in the ocean. Great pools, fun activities, super service (at the pools and beyond). Our room was big and comfortable enough for five. Conveniently located - you can be in the center of town in a 10-15 minute walk. Only downside was the wi-fi. Access was expensive and even with access, the connections were really slow. We ended up getting some work done at a wi-fi- enable restaurant in the marina. All in all though we had a wonderful stay at Playa Grande.

Great location, nice facilities, great viewsPosted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: Location, views, facilities.
Cons: Wi-Fi to slow if you could connect at all and you had to pay for the crappy wi-fi, Food in the restaurant was ok, but not great and service was slow
Location: location is close to the Marina and close to many restaurants, bars, etc. Great beach views and you can see whales right out in front of the hotel
Pros were the location, facilities, staff and views Cons were the Wi-fi Unreliable, slow and you had to pay for the bad wi-fi, Just ok, were the food, and wait to get food at the restaurant, poolside they were quicker and friendlier, the fitness room was nice, but also had to pay a daily or weekly fee to use the facility
