Vacationing on a budget

Posted Jul 19, 2015
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and everyone was so nice to us. However, the hotel would be amazing if it had more comfy bed mattress and don't count on the beer on having good quality taste.

Reasonably priced hotel/ mini resort in great spot

Posted Jun 27, 2015
We enjoyed our week stay here with the breakfast and all drinks included package . We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with lots of fresh fruit, omelet cooked for you, and other hot food if we wished. We seldom needed much lunch . The dinner buffet was also varied and very fresh so we chose to eat there 5 nights, which we paid around $215pesos each for - it was good value. The hotel is freshly painted outside bit rooms are a bit tired in places although furniture is newer . You get what you paid for . Not 5 star but neither is the price. Other guests were friendly and nice and also saw the good side of this hotels beachfront location . Although you cannot swim in the ocean here it is spectacular to watch.

Nice hotel, amazing staff!

Posted Jun 25, 2015
We just spent 6 days here with our 3 children. The hotel is nice, pool could use some updating though. The food is good, rooms are clean and the staff is amazing. Very nice, friendly and will help with anything you need!

Excellent value, if you're only there for the view

Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: The price: Got a good deal on Expedia. View was great. Liked how merchants on the beach were kept away by hotel staff if they got too aggressive.
Cons: Food. Fix bathroom tiles and moldy caulk. Our door wouldn't close without slamming!
Location: We could walk to Mega Mart. Urbano bus was convenient & cheap to get downtown. The art walk was not very good, but shopping at little shops was fun.
Beach view was beautiful, even 3 days after Hurricane Blanca had hit! Hotel was fine. Room okay.. Bathroom was NOT the cleanest...and they really need to update with new caulking on tile, fixing water damage in the ceiling, etc. Walls are thin: You can hear everything your neighbor is saying, or doing.....especially gross was hearing the guy next door GRUNTING and STRAINING and MOANING in the bathroom! We bought "all inclusive" this time, but I would opt out of dinner next time. Food in the steaming pans was gross! Everything was overcooked and indistinguishable, one from the other. It was all the same color. We stuck to only FRESH food that could be stir-fried right there, and the fresh fruit. Coffee was weak. Milk and juices were warm. The best meals at the hotel were at the Snack Shack by the pool. We would have starved if it wasn't for the good hamburgers and fries! Evening entertainment was good.

Pros: location and staff
Cons: nothing
Location: perfect close to town if you don't mind walking or taking the local bus which is very cheap
The staff became like family. I loved the laid back atmosphere

It keeps getting better

Posted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: #1 friendly employees, #2 meals, #3 Mexican atmosphere, #4 Location #5 easy access to public transportation #6 easy walking distance town
Cons: spending a little money on the bathrooms. They are always clean, but location of tub/shower sink and toilet could be improved and vent fan installed
Location: Many excellent dining venues, fishing ,fine art stores, a day trip to La Paz for lunch, take the bus to Cabo San Lucas and spend a morning.
Have been to the Posada three times, and each time it seems to have gotten better. The staff have been well trained and perform like you would expect in a five star establishment. The place has received a good deal of needed maintenance and the results have been noticeable . For a small "Mexican oriented hotel" it has everything anyone could reasonably want. The meals were outstanding with a very varied selection of fish, beef, chicken, pork at nearly every meal along with very fresh vegetables and Mexican dishes. There is only one pool. It is clean and quite adequate. There was evening entertainment every day during our stay. ( Usually music) The three main ingredients of a wonderful vacation are an attentive and friendly staff, good food and drink, and a reasonable price. From someone who has traveled extensively in Mexico, this place is a bargain.
