Beautiful hotel

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Oscar was awesome and very helpful. Andrea and Elizabeth were great also! Cilantros is the better restaurant on site.
Cons: Some of the servers had a rude attitude. They definitely need better beds.
Location: Awesome location.
This hotel was beautiful and a great location. Everyone was so helpful and nice when checking in. The room was beautiful with an awesome view. The beds were so uncomfortable though. Great pool! I was disappointed with some of the servers. I was ready to tip and it wasn't even busy and they'd just walk by. A couple were just rude. Not a good way to make tips! The majority of the vacation was great!

Great value!

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The all inclusive package was a great value! Liked that we had the flexibility to utilize both our hotel and the hotel next door.
Cons: Waiters could have been more friendly and personable which prevented us from tipping some them. Staffing on weekends should be increased.
Location: Fun bars with cheap drinks can be found in town. Great massages for the price! Zip lining was the best we've experienced and loved the dolphin swim!
We visited with a group of 6 families with teenagers (24 people total) and had a great time! The hotel and rooms were simple and clean. Take advantage of the "suite upgrade"~the small price increase is worth it! The concierge was very helpful when planning excursions and offered suggestions on activities. Pool was large and shallow (and very warm…almost too warm) They provide you with towels and plenty of delicious drinks and food while relaxing outside. Location was convenient ~ a short walk and we were in town or at the marina. Plenty of water activities were available~snorkeling, boating, jet skis, fishing and within an hour drive we were able to swim with dolphins and zip line. Ocean access was great and the water temperature was perfect! The water was a bit rough at times and the drop off was steep within a few feet of entering the water, but fine for adults and probably a bit much for small kids. Would suggest taking plenty of singles and fives ($$). There are many opportunities to tip the staff for room service, food and drinks by the pool, dinners and excursions but hard to find US change instead of pesos. On the weekends crowds increased ~dinner reservations at the hotel were hard to come by and service was much slower. Nothing is quick, so plan on relaxing meals. They did a great job at accommodating our large group for dinners but reservations are needed to guarantee seating. Great value for big eaters and drinkers…will definitely go back!!

Nice View, close to downtown and Marina

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: The Concierge, the front desk employees were awesome! The location and view were great!
Cons: The service at the restaurants were TERRIBLE! Luckily the Rose is next door, they had the best service ever! Be careful what you do in the water.
Location: Alexanders in the Marina is really yummy, downtown nearby bars, the office
Upon arrival we had to wait for our room, about 2 hours, no worries we thought we will just go eat while we wait. And wait we did, we ate at one of the two restaurants, and had Horrible service. I thought Great, this trip is not starting out the way I would like. The Staff of the Resort itself turned it around. The Bellman Ozcar, was great, and the front desk employees were great. On day two I saw people leaving who had a better ocean view, and I asked to move rooms, and we moved no problem. The Luxury suites were a perfect size for a family of 4, two kids, 9 and 4. Even though we were in the area of "swimmable" ocean, please beware, very dangerous still, keep an eye on your young ones. This is a great hotel to stay at, but don't expect anything special from the restaurants. Terrible service and not very good food. Room service food was pretty good. The ROSE food and service was way better. David was our waiter at the Rose almost every night! He made our trip. He took care of our group of 20 with a smile at all times. My recommendation: Stay at the Blanco, eat at the ROSE, and swim at Sunset.

The cool blue rooms

Posted Jul 8, 2014
As a family with children we had a wonderful time. The only negative comment I would make, so the hotel can better themselves, is some of the restaurant staff were not so friendly. On the other hand the ros'e staff were super friendly which made up for the un friendliness at pueblos Bonita Blanco. But for sure we would stay again!! And eat at rose!!! Better selection of food especially for children.

WE GOT TRANSFERRED FOR BOOKING THROUGH EXPEDIA

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: I expected more from the staff and amenities.
Cons: The manager needs to learn how to deal with customers regardless of how their reservations were made. He was not willing to any exceptoins.
Location: About 20 mins walking from downtown and the marina.
It was our first family trip outside of the US, and because we did not book direct through the hotel, we were sent to a sister location 15 mins away (via car) our first two nights. We were there with a large party, but because we booked through a 3rd party (according to the manager) there was nothing they could do. The bride and groom talked to the manager (who was rude) but no luck. We were away from our group for the first two days. When we finally did go back to Pueblo Bonito, our room was not ready after they had promised us it would be. Three hours later it was finally ready. Hotel staff was rude, food selection was poor. bartenders were OK. Going forward I will not use Expedia for my hotel reservations. I was warned by friends and family that this would happen, but I had to learn the hard way.

The hotel is extremely outdated. Our room was in desperate need of some updating. The staff were all friendly, however the service was awful and slow. The price we paid for the all inclusive was quite steep since we do not drink a lot and the food was not that great. There were not enough options for food either. Maybe most with all inclusive do not tip so they don't care to give good service. But, we tipped for everything and hoped that it might make for some better service...nope! The beach is nice for swimming, but there are so many people in the area. I would definitely not go back, there are much nicer hotels in the area for the same price.

Will stay here again

Pros: Loved the room and the view from the balcony. Loved that they didn't strong arm you to go to a timeshare presentation.
Location: Short walk down the beach to Mango Deck, Office and other beach bars. Only 6 blocks to downtown so easy walk or $8.00 cab ride for up to 4 people.
We did the all inclusive and it was well worth it because of the high food and drink prices charged not only at this resort but all over Cabo. All the food was great and I was surprised by all the options. There are not dinner buffets at this resort, for dinner you can order off the extensive menu at Cilantros or go to Las Palomas which has a more set menu, such as Taco night, surf and turf night, etc. The only tip with regard to the breakfast buffet, which took us a couple days to figure out, is if you want bacon or toast you will need to order it from the waiter. You are also able to eat and drink at the sister resort, PB Rose, which is right next door and a short walk.
