The hotel is very pretty. The lobby is spacious.

Cons: Mattresses need refreshing. They have feather bed toppers and the feathers are bunched in the middle leaving a huge lump in the middle.
Location: The ATV is amazing. The Pacific Ocean is hostile and not user friendly.
We had a very relaxing enjoyable and pleasant stay at the hotel.

Beach close, but yet so far

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: View was spectacular, property was pretty, staff was friendly.
Cons: Some staff were not completely truthful, needs nigttime activities, food was only ok for the package deal.
Location: Snorkeling was ok, nothing compared to Hawaii, town has little shops and restaurants but you cannot get there easily without paid transport
Overall the experience was ok. The Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is newer than Rose and Blanco. It is set on an extreme hill and if you have any issues walking or can't deal with 100 degree August heat they have golf carts, usually they come in about 5-10 minutes, but the property is not made for a nice stroll. My kids couldn't wait to go to the beach and swim, unfortunately I did not do enough research and your first swim is apparently your last. The waves are huge and undertow strong so absolutley NO swimming on this beach AT ALL, EVER! They do offer a free shuttle to the sister hotels which do allow swimming, it takes about 20-25 minutes, but you have to plan. Sunset Beach has several pools to help make up for lack of ocean swimming. The beds were not comfortable (lacked support) but the rooms were generously air conditioned. The food at the restaurants was average, the Sushi House was better quality food than the others. There is a lot of pressure to do a timeshare breakfast and they do not let you out easily after 90 minutes, took much longer than promised and they were not upfront about the gift certificate. It could only be used for the spa and extra dining costs for restaurannts not included in the all-inclusive plan. However we were told we could use it in the deli or coffee shops and that was not true. Be prepared, there is nothing to do on the property after dinner, you gave to go into town (not great with kids) or go to the pool, again.

Gorgeous all-inclusive resort on the Pacific.

Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: The views are spectacular from any of the over 500 rooms. Even the smallest rooms available were high quality and spacious. Food was high quality.
Cons: Faster service times in restaurants would help.
Location: Downtown Cabo is only 10 minutes away with shopping, dining, entertainment, and the marina. Other sister resorts are also close, only minutes away.
The resort is beautifully landscaped and very we'll maintained. We visited at the end of the season so it was only moderately busy. Great pools, many food options, and plenty of staff to help with anything. Water pressure was good and the rooms were very clean and maintained. The only noticeable issue was the lengthy wait time for food in some restaurants, possibly due in part too the time of season. The spa was top notch and reasonable. Discount spa services can be bought at the pool on most days. The gym was sufficient for most exercises, including weight training, however it was not open 24 hours as you might expect. The sales staff did take every chance to bother with time share opportunities, however this can be expected at this type of resort anywhere. Great stay, incredible resort, and great service!

It is a beautiful property with a great ocean view

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: The food was so/so, except for the Asian Kitchen which was very nice.
Location: A beautifully landscaped property with individual block of units tucked in, around and down the hillside all overlooking the ocean. Book an excursion
What a beautiful property!!!! Individual block of units scattered along a hillside over looking the ocean, every room has an ocean view. For our family it worked out great, when we felt like walking we got a good workout while enjoying the beautifully landscaped property that hosted many water fountains, cages with tropical bids ( and others such as flamingos and peacocks which were roaming in their specific area) all while seeing and hearing the ocean. When going to dinner we just called for a golf cart and one was ready to pick us up within 5 to 10 minutes (they were available 24 hrs. a day in case you did not enjoy walking). A great many pools to choose from all over the property, most had bars and grills, so you never had to leave to go get anything. The Sky Pool was the best, a little crowded but a must to visit a least once while there. Make dinner reservations first thing in the morning or you will get stuck having to eat at the same place every meal. You get a secluded feeling being on the mountain, but are just about 5 to 10 minutes from the marina/shopping. You can take a shuttle to their sister resorts close to the marina, but again plan ahead to reserve your spot. The Rose' property is beautiful also, but much, much smaller. They say that you can go swimming in that area, just BEWARE, the ocean changed very quickly while we were there. From normal crashing waves one minute to 10 ft. waves that could and did pull us in from the top of the beach.

Clean, safe resort with kind and helpful staff

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Very hot and humid in August. Overall food was good. Staff were excellent. Amenities plentiful. A one hour trip from the airport so plan accordingly. No swimming on the beach and not walking distance to downtown but more secluded and private without being such a party scene like the rest of Cabo can be.

Gorgeous, but that's about it.

Beautiful resort, but not convenient. No swimmable beach, need golf cart transportation to get from your room to anywhere (pool, restaurants, etc). Service was awful! Time share ppl hounded us everyday and weren't consistent with their "gifts". We got all inclusive but it doesn't include gratuity. They keep track of every single thing you order, down to each water bottle. On the plus side, several pools to choose from.
