Gorgeous all-inclusive resort on the Pacific.

Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: The views are spectacular from any of the over 500 rooms. Even the smallest rooms available were high quality and spacious. Food was high quality.
Cons: Faster service times in restaurants would help.
Location: Downtown Cabo is only 10 minutes away with shopping, dining, entertainment, and the marina. Other sister resorts are also close, only minutes away.
The resort is beautifully landscaped and very we'll maintained. We visited at the end of the season so it was only moderately busy. Great pools, many food options, and plenty of staff to help with anything. Water pressure was good and the rooms were very clean and maintained. The only noticeable issue was the lengthy wait time for food in some restaurants, possibly due in part too the time of season. The spa was top notch and reasonable. Discount spa services can be bought at the pool on most days. The gym was sufficient for most exercises, including weight training, however it was not open 24 hours as you might expect. The sales staff did take every chance to bother with time share opportunities, however this can be expected at this type of resort anywhere. Great stay, incredible resort, and great service!

It is a beautiful property with a great ocean view

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: The food was so/so, except for the Asian Kitchen which was very nice.
Location: A beautifully landscaped property with individual block of units tucked in, around and down the hillside all overlooking the ocean. Book an excursion
What a beautiful property!!!! Individual block of units scattered along a hillside over looking the ocean, every room has an ocean view. For our family it worked out great, when we felt like walking we got a good workout while enjoying the beautifully landscaped property that hosted many water fountains, cages with tropical bids ( and others such as flamingos and peacocks which were roaming in their specific area) all while seeing and hearing the ocean. When going to dinner we just called for a golf cart and one was ready to pick us up within 5 to 10 minutes (they were available 24 hrs. a day in case you did not enjoy walking). A great many pools to choose from all over the property, most had bars and grills, so you never had to leave to go get anything. The Sky Pool was the best, a little crowded but a must to visit a least once while there. Make dinner reservations first thing in the morning or you will get stuck having to eat at the same place every meal. You get a secluded feeling being on the mountain, but are just about 5 to 10 minutes from the marina/shopping. You can take a shuttle to their sister resorts close to the marina, but again plan ahead to reserve your spot. The Rose' property is beautiful also, but much, much smaller. They say that you can go swimming in that area, just BEWARE, the ocean changed very quickly while we were there. From normal crashing waves one minute to 10 ft. waves that could and did pull us in from the top of the beach.

Clean, safe resort with kind and helpful staff

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Very hot and humid in August. Overall food was good. Staff were excellent. Amenities plentiful. A one hour trip from the airport so plan accordingly. No swimming on the beach and not walking distance to downtown but more secluded and private without being such a party scene like the rest of Cabo can be.

Gorgeous, but that's about it.

Beautiful resort, but not convenient. No swimmable beach, need golf cart transportation to get from your room to anywhere (pool, restaurants, etc). Service was awful! Time share ppl hounded us everyday and weren't consistent with their "gifts". We got all inclusive but it doesn't include gratuity. They keep track of every single thing you order, down to each water bottle. On the plus side, several pools to choose from.

Relaxing vacation, nice hotel but remember to tip!

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Many activities to keep the kids busy, and pool chairs wait staff were very quick.
Cons: Staff behind the pool bar would not help the kids, they would keep them waiting and serve the adults first. Once I arrived the kids were helped.
Location: On the pacific ocean and pretty isolated but the views are spectacular and the beach is pristine.
Long check in due to an arguing american couple wanting more than what they paid. Our overall stay was relaxing and nice, we enjoyed the new sushi restaurant, the kids really loved it. The waiters really pushed for tips, when my son signed for a drink the waiter ran after me as I was leaving the pool asking for a tip? I always tip well it was just an oversight and I couldn't believe how his reaction was?

very inconvenient

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: the workers were so nice, no matter what, they were polite & "my pleasure" was what you would here fromthem.
Cons: more activities for teenagers, or mention in the site that this is for honeymooners only.
Location: you couldn't do anything, no pool table, no activity center for teenagers, no swim pool fun & games/music you couldn't swim in the beach either.
the room was nice & clean but the fact that you have to wait in line for EVERY THING was very annoying. you need to do reservation for every food place (ridiculous), i paid $400/night for all-inclusive so i can go & eat whenever i can but No i had to have reservation. we had a beach day trip all day, we came back with the shuttle (which you must book exact return time otherwise you have to wait an hour/half for the next shuttle) we come back to the hotel to eat, you can't, cause you don't have reservation in any place. then, everywhere you go you need a golfcart, the wait for golfcarts sometimes is 45 minutes, i am not kidding. we went to buffet for dinner (cuase we didn't have reservation for any other place) they didnt let us in cause my son had a tanktop on, i looked around all the girls were wearing a bathing suits, i told the hostess but that girl is wearing same thing as my son, you won't believe what she said : but she is a woman!!!! overall, i wasn't happy about my stay there.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the sunset for a short getaway. The resort is beautiful with quaint villas, yet very large and spread out, which is not very convenient. We chose to walk to most places and the smell of the exhaust from the golf carts in our path was nauseating. We had our pool located next to our building which was nice. Food was average, alcoholic drinks a bit on the weak side, but to be expected with the all inclusive plan. Don't expect to swim, surf, or boogie board in the water. Waves are definitely too rough. Staff was very nice and pleasant.

Beautiful resort with a great view

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The view, amenities and food.
Cons: A larger adult pool would be nice with a swim up bar. As well as adding a few more golf carts on the weekend.
The Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach was great! I don't know why people were complaining about the hills, it is very easy to get a golf cart to take you anywhere you want. You cannot swim at this beach, but you can take their free shuttle to the sister Resort Rosé which is at the main very touristy beach you can swim at. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families. Also, All-Inclusive is the way to go, otherwise the food will be pretty pricey.
