Excursion / wake up call

Posted Aug 18, 2014
The hotel stay was excellent only one problem with communication on wake up call. We missed our deep sea excursion but over all we took other excursions just about all with the exception of the most costly one. But will return and catch up on the marlin trip on the next one

Rooms and food were decent. The pools were all great! Next time I would prefer staying closer to town.

Great place to stay and excellent staff.

My wife and I came here for our first all inclusive experience. Really enjoyed the grounds, staff and all the fun things to do. We are already going to plan to take our 4 kids( young adults)/here. Never felt the need to leave and go any where else. We have mostly done cruising, but really liked this. No pressure to go or do anything except what you want!!

I prefer to go to Cancun.

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Very beautiful, nice an clean.
Cons: Food and drinks quality.
Location: About 1.5 miles away from dawn town. Nothing much to do around the hotel.
The food and drinks are very average. The hotel property is nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can’t swim in the ocean. It is very cold and the waves are very dangerous. I’ve been to Cancun and it is much nicer. For the same price you get much better service and food quality is excellent. I stayed at Grand Melia (the new name is Paradise Cancun Resort). It is an excellent resort/ hotel with high quality service and food. I had a memorable experience. I won’t go back to Cabo next time.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean and the pools and grounds were very well kept. All staff worked very hard to please
Cons: use real juice in drinks...improve water pressure to bathtubs...enlarge specialty restaurants...add a nice gift shop
Location: golf, sailing, many water sports
We paid for 2 rooms with ocean view and double beds...rooms did not have double beds so had to switch rooms, then only had partial ocean view. The water pressure was so low that bathing was virtually impossible. The juice drinks all seemed to be made with some substance other than real juice. Expected better shopping for a hotel this large

All Inclusive near the Beach

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: The food and cleanness.
Cons: Change the plastic wrist bands. Eletronically track the check in and out of beach towels instead of using cards.
Location: Very private. Activities are a bit far, use a taxi. Need to go out a mile or two to swim in the beach. Some of the daily shows aren't for kids.
My family and I enjoyed the stay. The staff was very courteous and attentive. They cleaned the rooms at least twice a day, filled up the fridge with beverages, and provided towels. The buffets always had hot and fresh food. They had lots of food choices in each of the restaurants in the hotel. They had on site companies that offered activity information and prices. The only item that was a hassle was to return the beach towels before the cutoff and to keep track of the card they gave you for each person. At first I also found it a bit odd for the pools to close at 7pm but later found out that it was to add the necessary chemicals and that you could swim at your own risk.
