Beautiful all inclusive resort on the beach

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: The beautiful pools, location is near downtown and the variety of restaurants
Cons: The rooms felt very old and outdated to me. The walls are EXTREMELY thin and you need to bring ear plugs in order to sleep.
Location: Downtown is close by so if you are into partying, cabo wabo, pink kitty, squid roe is all nearby
Booked this hotel for my GF's college spring break. Everyone was staying that the Riu SantaFe and I decided I would pick a nicer hotel next door. The resort itself was beautiful. Very large pools, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby for drinks, Evening show for everyone. The food wasn't too bad and there is a huge selection. Drinks are watered down but you can always ask for shots. The rooms in the hotel were outdated to me and the walls are very thin. Even with earplugs I was having a hard time getting sleep. I would NOT recommend this hotel for someone who is trying to get away and relax. This to me is a party hotel.

Nice beach- decent size rooms but no air!

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Very clean property, great beach, easy access to downtown Cabo.
Cons: More outdoor sport type options that are close- have to walk 20-30 minutes to any water activities. Not many kid activities.
We arrived and the entry was amazing. Only bad thing the water was not running and wasn't going to be turned on until 3p. Made it to our rooms but we were put on the "loud" side of the hotel. We moved the next day but it was even louder but we made due (bring a sound machine!) We tried to turn on the air in our room but it didn't work- very stuffy and no circulation. Food was decent but not enough restaurant options with varied choices- same food as the buffets. We were certainly tired of it by the end and ate off property a few times.

Fabulous resort and Food!

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: Food and location
Cons: Called for a roll away bed 7 times.. never got it. Complained the second day we were there, a supervisor was notified and the issue was taken care of
Location: I highly recommend Cabo Expeditions for whale watching - modern, clean, friendly. We used Cactus ATV too - another reputable good company.
A year ago we stayed at the Riu Santa Fe and it was really nice, but the Riu Palace was amazing! The biggest differences between these two resorts were the quality of the bed and the food. Lobster, crab legs, shrimp, beef filet, unlimited top shelf liquor....it was all amazing! We could see whales from pool deck - so cool! We saw a turtle lay eggs on the beach, watched seals catch fish on the early morning waves, really neat natural experiences. The beds at Rius are notoriously hard, they were slightly better at the Palace.

Hotel right on beach and close to town

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: The bar staff ( Guillamo, Lorenzo, Angel, Ramon and Rahul at Buffette) have treated us well.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to town and right on the beach. Any activity yo want, just ask.
This our 2nd stay at this hotel and both times have memorable. We had a great room with excellent view of the beach, pool and town. The bar staff ( Guillamo, Lorenzo, Angel, Ramon and Rahul at Buffette) have treated us well.

I am their most important guest

Posted Mar 20, 2015
Pros: cleanliness and warmth of staff.
Cons: a less coarse and less slanted beach. The hotel has nothing to do with it.
Location: We had no reason to and never left the resort in nine days.
every guest is treated like the most important guest. The Riu Palace has the best facilities and somehow even better staff. It would not have been our 4th stay in a row it wasn't.

Better than I imagined.

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: The view is breathtaking.
Went for a destination wedding and was happy to be in such a beautiful place was totally pampered with it being all inclusive. The place is quality, the people exceeded expectations, and I would return again.
